Cillian Murphy Drops ‘Inception’ Hints [Updated]

Cillian Murphy Drops ‘Inception’ Hints [Updated]

Christopher Nolan’s upcoming thriller, Inception, has been a pretty big mystery to movie fans ever since it was first announced. An excellent and perplexing teaser trailer appeared online a little while ago, and from then on we’ve only had hints and teases here and there – including set reports and photos – to keep us intrigued. But despite all those tidbits, it seems like Inception is one of those movies that we’ll all need to actually see for ourselves to understand (and my guess is even then it will keep us talking long after the credits roll).

Adding to the hints about what Inception is about, exactly,  is one of the film’s stars, Cillian Murphy (Batman Begins, 28 Days Later). Murphy recently spoke to MTV Movies Blog and reminded us that this is his third film with Nolan, saying that Nolan showed him the whole script (I’m assuming Murphy isn’t in the whole movie), and he described it as, “very very complex and amazing. I’m hugely excited for next year when it comes out.”

Footage From the ‘Inception’ Set (Plus How You Can Visit!)

Even if Christopher Nolan’s upcoming mystery flick Inception has had its first teaser trailer released, it still feels like we don’t know what the film is really about. Little tidbits of info about the diverse cast’s roles (Leonardo DiCaprio plays a, “CEO type,” for example) have been released, along with the much-repeated cryptic teaser line that the film is “a contemporary sci-fi thriller set within the architecture of the mind.” Then came photos from the set of the movie, and heck even the (probable) plot was revealed last month.

But something about Inception still seems shrouded in mystery…

SARCASM ALERT: These pics contain massive gargantuan SPOILERS about the film.

First Teaser Trailer For Christopher Nolan’s Inception

Just a few days after an IMDB report which described it appeared online, and after playing before Inglourious Basterds in theaters, we now have the first teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Inception to view for ourselves! It comes to us after months of mystery and speculation surrounding the movie, pertaining to even just the simple premise.

The trailer does little to remedy that, but is cool as hell nonetheless.

‘Inception’: Trailer Synopsis, Plot And Character Info

The first ever teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan’s secretive sci-fi/thriller, Inception, is supposed to premiere tomorrow attached to some prints of Inglourious Basterds. Word is that it won’t appear online then (perhaps not even until next week),  unlike the new Avatar trailer that debuted online today, – a day before it was supposed to show up in theaters.

However, to tide us over until the Inception teaser appears, we have some new info that gives us some more insight into the mysterious movie: a description of the trailer, the names of the characters and a possible plot synopsis that expands on the tagline of “a contemporary sci-fi thriller set within the architecture of the mind,” which is all we’ve had to go on so far.

First Set Pics From Christopher Nolan’s Inception!

Here at Screen Rant we’ve done some extensive coverage of Christopher Nolan’s upcoming secretive sci-fi thriller, Inception. It’s been said many times before but we really don’t know all that much about it, with only some character descriptions, some thin location info (mostly unconfirmed) and the line, “A contemporary sci-fi thriller set within the architecture of the mind,” to really go on.

However, today, thanks to Coming Soon, we have our first proper look at Inception via the first images from the film’s set. They mainly consist of DiCaprio’s “CEO type” character, which is not surprising considering he’s the lead. Ellen Page and Marion Cotillard are also featured in some of the images with DiCaprio, in the midst of what looks like a pretty intense scene on a bridge. Take a look for yourself at a few of the images:

Batman 3 Status: Gary Oldman Jumped The Gun

A few days ago Gary Oldman, while on The Book of Eli panel at Comic-Con in San Diego, let a rather big piece of “news” slip: that the sequel to The Dark Knight, which is being referred to as Batman 3 (until titled otherwise) would be shooting next year.

However, later Mr. Oldman recanted his rather brash and out-of-left-field statement when he told Ain’t It Cool News, “Well, I’m sure they want to do another one… it might [be] 2 or 3 years…”

Hans Zimmer Re-Teaming With Nolan To Score Inception

Hans Zimmer Re-Teaming With Nolan To Score Inception

BusinessWire (via NolanFans and The Playlist) is reporting that prolific film composer, Hans Zimmer, has been tapped to score Christopher Nolan’s upcoming secretive thriller, Inception. Of course, this isn’t really a surprise considering Zimmer worked with Nolan on both his Batman movies, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

Inception is Nolan’s new movie that could aptly be summed up as “mysterious.” With a few small character details aside, and a central story that focuses on blackmailing, the only real line of info we’ve had to go on is that it’s, “a contemporary sci-fi thriller set within the architecture of the mind.”

Even The Riddler would have trouble working that one out…

Shooting Details About Christopher Nolan’s ‘Inception’

With the “hush hush” secrecy of Christopher Nolan’s latest film, Inception, any piece of news or information that emerges instantly gets my attention. All we really know about the plot of the film so far is that it’s a “contemporary sci-fi thriller set within the architecture of the mind.”

Beyond that  short plot synopsis, we have the killer cast of Leonardo DiCaprio (who’s role is described as a CEO type); Marion Cotillard (playing DiCaprio’s wife); Ellen Page (DiCaprio’s “sidekick”); Ken Watanabe (who plays a blackmailing villain to DiCaprio’s character); Michael Caine, Cillian Murphy (both characters unknown); Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tom Hardy (both playing DiCaprio’s work associates).

Today we gladly get some additional information about the mysterious Inception.

Nolan’s ‘Inception’ Adds Ken Watanabe & Tom Hardy

It’s hard to believe that the cast for Christopher Nolan’s next project Inception could get any bigger or any more awesome. And yet it has, with two more names added to the already bulging cast list. They are Ken Watanabe and Tom Hardy.

Watanabe will be returning to work with Nolan again after starring in Batman Begins (as the first-seen Ra’s Al Ghul) - he will play the villain of Inception, a character who blackmails Leonardo DiCaprio’s “CEO type.” Tom Hardy, who turned in a blistering performance as violent British prisoner Charles Bronson in the similarly titled biopic, will play a part of DiCaprio’s team.

Confirmed: Michael Caine IS In Nolan’s ‘Inception’

It was reported earlier this month (by the man himself no less) that Sir Michael Caine might be getting a part in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming enigmatic thriller Inception. However, at that point it was just Caine letting us know that there might be a part for him, one of the reasons being he has worked with Nolan a few times and in his words, “I don’t think Nolan’s going to make a picture without me.”

It was only yesterday that Screen Rant reported on another face, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, being added to the already great cast, and yet we have another new addition today: yes, that’s right, Caine has joined the cast of Inception.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Cast In Christopher Nolan’s ‘Inception’

It may have been to the dismay of Batman fans everywhere when it was announced a couple of months ago that Christopher Nolan’s next project won’t be Batman 3, but rather a sci-fi “mind thriller” called Inception. Not much is known about the plot of the movie other than the description that it’s “a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind,” but the casting sure has geared up over the last while.

Michael Caine Might Re-Team With Nolan For ‘Inception’

Michael Caine Might Re-Team With Nolan For ‘Inception’

It’s been known for a while now that Christopher Nolan’s next movie will not be Batman 3, but in fact an enigmatic sci-fi thriller called Inception. Not much is known about the project, except that it’s described as “a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.”

Pretty much all of the news we’ve had so far has been casting related, with Leonardo DiCaprio already cast, and Cillian Murphy (who worked with Nolan in Batman Begins, playing The Scarecrow), Marrion Cotillard and Ellen Page also in talks to star. Adding to that impressive list, the word is that Alfred himself, Michael Caine, might be coming on-board as well.

Chris Nolan Re-Teams With The Scarecrow

Cillian Murphy, Marion Cotillard and Ellen Page are in talks to join Leonardo DiCaprio in Christopher Nolan’s forthcoming science fiction epic, Inception.

The film is described as a ”contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.” What that means is anybody’s guess but with Nolan involved I can only imagine that it will be intriguing and not your usual simplified Hollywood product.

DiCaprio To Star In Nolan’s ‘Inception’

DiCaprio To Star In Nolan’s ‘Inception’

It was only last month that it was announced that director Christopher Nolan’s next film wasn’t going to be Batman 3 but rather a sci-fi thriller called Inception, which he himself wrote the screenplay for. But it seems this thing is already fast on it’s way to getting made as Leonardo DiCaprio is in final negotiations to star.

Not much is known about this film as of yet (which is understandable considering it was only announced recently) but what we do know is it’s described, “as a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within “the architecture of the mind.”

Hmmm, sounds intriguing…

Which One Of These Release Dates Will Change?

Some new release dates have been announced by Warner Bros. for some pretty big movies, including Green Lantern, the final Harry Potter film, Sherlock Holmes, Jonah Hex and Clash of the Titans. The dates range from late 2009 all the way to summer 2011, and one of these movies picked a date that will make things interesting as far as a box office battle (if the date sticks).

Christopher Nolan’s Next Movie Is NOT Batman 3

Christopher Nolan’s Next Movie Is NOT Batman 3

Directing giant Christopher Nolan has signed on to direct an original screenplay he wrote called Inception for Warner Brothers.  The script is described as a sci-fi action film and described as “a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.” I certainly hope that doesn’t mean the film is going to be anything like the tragedy that was The Cell.
