Holmes and Watson (2018)
A humorous take on the classic Arthur Conan Doyle novels, Holmes and Watson stars Will Ferrell and John C. Reily as the legendary detective duo Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. While in attendance at an event at Buckingham Palace, Holmes and Watson are drawn into a sinister plot by their arch nemesis Professor Moriarty, who intends to kill the Queen. Besides Ferrell and Reily, Ralph Fiennes, Rebecca Hall, Rob Brydon, and Steve Coogan also star.

Summary
This comedic take on Sherlock Holmes unites Step Brothers stars Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly as the world’s greatest consulting detective and his loyal biographer. Holmes and Watson was first announced in 2008, with Sacha Baron Cohen attached to star opposite Ferrell. Reilly took Cohen's long-vacated spot in 2016 and the rest of the film's cast was assembled thereafter. Production began in London in late 2016, with the movie originally scheduled to arrive in August 2018. It was later pushed back to November and then December of that same year.
