From the makers of Inglourious Plummers comes a trailer for a fake God of War movie done Wes Anderson style.

An adaptation of the popular video game God of War has been talked about for awhile now and has been wanted by fans for ever longer. Popular (sarcasm alert!) director Brett Ratner was even rumored to be bringing the game to the big-screen back in 2008 .

With or without Ratner, I’m sure a God of War movie will get made at some point. But while you wait, you can pass some of that time by checking out this clever and rather funny indie version of God of War, courtesy of the guys over at Gamervision.

Some of you may remember an SR Pick we did last August called Inglourious Plummers, an absolutely hilarious fake trailer parodying Inglourious Basterds. The latest trailer from the same team is for a God of ...

Click to continue reading SR Pick [Video]: God of War Indie Movie Trailer

A few weeks back the name Joseph Gatt made headlines everywhere when it was reported that he had been cast into a “secret role” for the upcoming Thor movie. We knew nothing more about it other than his history of work and guesses as to which character from the Thor comics he could be playing.

I had a chance to speak with Joe Gatt over the holidays and briefly again on Monday after the first day of Thor’s principal photography where I tried to get some hints on what character he could be playing in the movie. In our discussion, we talked about the Thor movie and his character, how he got into the business, his diverse background which includes working as a motion capture actor in some triple-A video ...

Click to continue reading Exclusive: Joe Gatt Talks Thor & Secret Villain Role

Has Brett Ratner been picked to direct the God of War movie, based on the video game?

The guys over at Slash Film were looking over the press release they got from MGM about the Robocop reboot – when they noticed an interesting little sidebar about a certain well-respected director who will be taking on the monumental task of bringing one of video games most popular anti-heroes of the last decade to the big screen.

And who would this well-respected director be?

Brett Ratner.

That’s right folks, Brett Ratner, the “auteur” behind such big-budget far as X-Men: The Last Stand and the inexplicably popular Rush Hour trilogy (It’s so sad that I can call it that,) seems to have been tapped by the powers that be over at MGM to bring über popular video game God Of War to the big screen. From the Robocop press release:
