Summary
Years after the successful and critically acclaimed District 9 was released, director Neill Blomkamp confirmed that a sequel, aptly called District 10 is now in development and is being co-written by him , writer/real-life wife Terri Tatchell, and Sharlto Copley. No plot details have been provided at this time, but one can expect District 10 to take place following the events of District 9, which saw Copley's Wikus Van De Merwe relocating aliens who lived inside a prison-like camp and who were largely mistreated by human society. The sequel has been years in the making at this point. However, considering that it's in the early stages of development and has not begun filming, fans shouldn't expect District 10 to be released anytime soon.
