The Cabin in the Woods is scheduled for a February 2010 opening and all the while, Joss Whedon has been keeping things pretty tight-lipped about the project.  I think he loves Keeping us, the fans, in suspense of who and/or what will happen in the movie.

One person who is in the movie is Fran Kranz. He plays the part of Marty, a guy who likes to have fun outdoors with different kinds of herbs.

The film is about a bunch of kids going out to, well, a cabin in the woods and well, things don’t go well as far as achieving the state of party.

A Dollhouse may have mindless residents hang out until their next “therapy session”, but with a little Cabin In The Woods, you can get some nice peace and quiet in the mountains – in between screaming bloody murder and running for your life! Now there’s a vacation spot! Leave it to Joss Whedon to create a nice escape spot… literally.

We already noted a while back that Bradley Whitford and Richard Jenkins were added as cast members for the Joss Whedon vacation spot.

The lion is hungry and it seems to be roaring again as projects like The Cabin in the Woods and a Red Dawn remake are on Mary Parent’s clip board.

Mary Parent is getting right on track in MGM these days since she was named the chair of their Worldwide Motion Picture Group back in March.

One item that she’s given the green light to on her clipboard is the project called The Cabin in the Woods.
