With production of Breaking Bad season 5 set to being in early 2012, fans of the series are waiting with anticipation to find out what happens to Walter White when the series comes to an end this year. But has that information already been revealed by Walter White himself, Bryan Cranston?

In two separate interviews, over a year apart, Cranston discusses what he believes to be the only possible conclusion to the series: “Walter White will die.” How will he die? Well that’s more complicated – though Cranston does hint at what may be the driving force behind Walter’s death wish.

‘Breaking Bad’ Creator Vince Gilligan Unsure How Series Will End

Like it or not, come the end of its fifth season, Breaking Bad will be no more. And while series creator Vince Gilligan is determined to bow out gracefully, he is, understandably, somewhat at odds with just how to wrap up Walter White’s epic downward spiral.

Of course, ending such a beloved and critically acclaimed series comes with a notorious bag of challenges that frequently finds creatives at odds with the very audience that adores them. A fact Gilligan is all too aware.

The ongoing stand-off between Walter, Jesse, and Gus will reach its breaking point tonight, in the Breaking Bad season 4 finale.

After last Sunday’s shocking episode found the one-time partners in crystal meth cookery putting their disagreements behind them in order to kill the would-be drug kingpin, Gus is going to have to watch his back now more than ever.

Following Walter’s (Bryan Cranston) failed attempt at killing Gus (Giancarlo Esposito) with an improvised car bomb, the pair soon realize that it’s not going to be easy to take down their former boss.

Fortunately, Walter and Jesse (Aaron Paul) aren’t going to have to go up against Gus on their own. Thanks to the ever-helping hand of Saul (Bob Odenkirk), the duo adds a surprise co-conspirator to help in their efforts.

What happens next: ‘Breaking Bad’ Season 5: Walter White’s Fate Revealed?

AMC announced the renewal of its acclaimed series Breaking Bad this weekend, adding that the 5th season would be its last. Throughout its run, the show has garnered critical and viewer acclaim, and has been instrumental in AMC’s rise in the original programming scene.

Breaking Bad‘s fifth season will consist of 16 episodes – three more than we saw in seasons 2 – 4 (season 1 was only 7 episodes) . The extended order should give the writers some extra room to wrap up the series. The final episodes will begin airing in mid-2012.

Just three episodes into its fourth season and trouble may be brewing for AMC’s critical darling Breaking Bad. According to recent reports, the network and the show’s production company, Sony Pictures Television, have begun talks regarding the fifth (and likely final) season of the show – and those talks have hit something of a wall.

The issue stems from AMC once more looking to cut costs. In the case of Breaking Bad, that would mean a season consisting of only 6-8 episodes – rather than the typical 12-13 the series has had in past seasons.

Breaking Bad is one TV series that has steadily upped its game in subsequent seasons. This includes season 3, in which we saw former high school chemistry teacher-turned-drug-manufacturer Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and his recovering addict “partner” Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) learn all about the perils that go with making it big in the drug game.

Breaking Bad season 4 arrives with the added burden of having to keep up the frantic momentum of last season’s nail-biting cliffhanger, and the premiere episode, “Box Cutter”, not only did that – it kicked things up to a whole new level of tension and darkness. The premiere also gave us one particular scene that is likely to go down in the pantheon of nightmare-inducing TV moments.

2011 Golden Globe Award Winners

For 68 years, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has been celebrating their favorites in film and television with the Golden Globe Awards.

Once again, the multifaceted and generally hilarious Ricky Gervais will be serving as host of tonight’s gala. While those in attendance will be filled with anticipation about whether or not they will take home the award in their chosen category, viewers at home will be anxiously waiting to see how far Gervais will push the comedic envelope with his monologue and numerous ad-libs throughout the night.

With 25 separate categories having to fit within tonight’s given time slot, something tells me that Gervais will be moving things along at a swift pace – all while sipping from his iconic glass a beer that always remains not-so-hidden beneath his podium.

‘The Fighter’ Leads 2011 Screen Actors Guild Award Nominations

The Screen Actors Guild announced nominations for the 17th annual SAG Awards this morning.

The nominees reaffirmed many of the front-runners for possible Academy Award nominations.

In the leading female actor category, Natalie Portman earned a rightful nomination for her work in Black Swan, but she’ll be running against stiff competition from Nicole Kidman in Rabbit Hole, along with many other notable actresses. In the leading male actor category, Jeff Bridges was recognized for his take on the iconic character of Rooster Cogburn in True Grit, but he’ll face strong competition from young actors Jesse Eisenberg in The Social Network and James Franco in 127 Hours.

AFI Lists Top 10 Movies and TV Programs of 2010

The American Film Institute announced its list of the Top 10 movies of 2010 today, giving film fans a likely glimpse at many of the movies in contention for the Best Picture Oscar at this year’s Academy Awards.

AFI’s Top 10 films represent a wide range of styles, from the brainy big budget action film Inception and the animated Toy Story 3 to the low-budget indie films Winter’s Bone and The Kids Are All Right.

Several of the films on the list, including True Grit and The Fighter, have yet to make nationwide releases, but are already racking up major points with critics. Our own Kofi Outlaw gave The Fighter a perfect five star review.

‘Breaking Bad’ Season 3 Premiere Breaks Ratings Record

Even with reviews of a slow start, fans still tuned in to last Sunday’s third season premiere of Breaking Bad. The episode proved to be a ratings juggernaut for AMC, with 2 million viewers tuning in (3.1 million if including the immediate replay), making it the highest-rated episode ever.

If this trend continues, Don and Betty Draper better watch out because Walter White and Jesse Pinkman might soon replace the Mad Men couple as AMC’s newest sweethearts. Breaking Bad not only showed a double-digit increase in all demographics, but also a 63% total ratings increase since the series premiered in 2008. And it doesn’t seem like anything will be able to stop Heisenberg.

Taking place a week after the events of the second season finale of Breaking Bad, Donald Margolis, the father of Jane Margolis, Jesse’s one-time girlfriend, is shown to be the cause of the plane crash. As a flight controller, the distressed Mr. Margolis returns to work too soon after the loss of his daughter.

With a declaration of “I am not a criminal,” Walter White decides to get out of drug making trade by cutting ties, burning all his money and telling his wife, Skyler, everything. But his retirement may be short-lived as Gustavo offers Walt $3 million for three months of his work – “then you’re out.”
