Short version: Blood: The Last Vampire is a fun (if forgettable) film with some extremely well choreographed fight sequences. It’s really only for the action fans out there – anyone else may want to skip it.

Blood: The Last Vampire is one of those action movies whose faults can be overlooked in favor of some entertaining action. There are plenty of problems to be found here: From cheesy dialogue and acting to the sometimes fake-looking CGI. But when the movie is in full-on action mode – that is, a young woman in a schoolgirl outfit hacking up vampires – it’s a lot of fun. And the fact that it stands at a tidy 90 minutes will means it’s easily re-watchable.

Cool New Images From ‘Blood: The Last Vampire’

Blood: The Last Vampire is an upcoming horror-action film that’s a live-action adaptation of an animated film from about ten years ago. It’s about a 400 year-old half-human half-vampire who uses her samurai skills to hunt down and kill vampires, all the while knowing she needs blood, the same as they do, to survive.

Ya’ know – kinda like Blade from the female perspective…

Last week Screen Rant posted an amazing poster and very cool trailer for Blood: The Last Vampire, and today we have a batch of new images from the film to give you more of a flavor of what it will be like.

New ‘Blood: The Last Vampire’ Poster & Trailer

A new poster and trailer has appeared online for Blood: The Last Vampire. Don’t recognize the name? Well, if you get your movie news solely from Screen Rant (we’d be flattered if you did…) then you logically won’t recognize it as we haven’t covered it up until this point. But these two new pieces of marketing were just too good not to share.

Just to bring you into the know, Blood: The Last Vampire is a live-action adaptation of an animated manga film from almost 10 years ago (a single-volume manga, as well as video game and anime cartoon series was also made). Here is the official synopsis (courtesy of MovieWeb):
