While struggling to cope with the death of his mother, Conor O'Malley, played by Lewis MacDougall, discovers a giant monster resembling a yew tree that tells him stories. 2016's A Monster Calls is based on Patrick Ness' novel who also wrote the screenplay for the movie. JA Bayona directs, with a cast including Sigourney Weaver, Toby Kebbell, Liam Neeson, and Felicity Jones.
