supernatural Supernatural: Some Season 5 Story Points

Eric Kripke says that we’re going to be seeing few of what I would call heavy hitters in the upcoming 5th season of Supernatural.

God will be intervening, but probably not until the end of the season.

Castiel (Misha Collins) will be a hunted fugitive, as far as Heaven is concerned and as time goes on, his powers begin to fade.  This in turn, is where he’ll learn how to be human.  (Trust me Cass, it ain’t no picnic some days!)

We’ll be seeing every hunter who’s still alive.

As far as the Apocalypse goes, season 5 starts out bad and only gets worse.  Being the Apocalypse, we get a glimpse of hell on Earth in a future-look episode:

  • The Croatoan virus from season 2 runs rampant,
  • Hunters hiding in the woods to survive,
  • Sam and Dean, weary and time worn,
  • The Four Horesmen, who, by the way, drive muscle cars,
  • Sarah Palin as president.

Told ya it was the Apocalypse!

For me, this sounds like they saved it all for one bad-**s season of butt kicking, mind bending developments. I can’t wait for how they end this present 5-year story arc of Supernatural which premieres on September 10th.

  1. I’ve never seen one episode of this show, but I keep reading all sorts of praise. I just may have to check this out from the beginning.

  2. That’s the best way to see it John. SUPERNATURAL has a lot of history in it’s tale of demon fighting, family morals and other things.

And Dean loves muscle cars and 80’s rock music, not to mention he’s hilarious as all get out at times.

  3. Looks awesome, I can’t wait for the Croatoan Virus to come again, that was one of my favorite episodes!

  4. I was upset that they completely dropped the Croatoan virus after its first appearance. Good to see they’ll be bringing it back.

That’s what I like about this show, it tries to tie up all the loose ends. Hopefully this announcement of all the hunters who are still alive appearing this season means we’ll get a Jo episode.

  5. “Sarah Palin as president”
Are you for real or is this a joke. Either way its hysterical.
So far this season looks like its going to be great.

  6. TASOULI: You’ll just have to wait and find out!

  8. Why does the show have to show a political bias this late in the game? Why can’t they just do what they do best and remain neutral, as they have done from the start. I am no fan of Ms. Palin’s but when a show starts this type of profiling, it is best they leave the air. They are offending half their viewers at least. I would never vote for Sarah Palin as president, vice president, dog catcher, etc. but I do not want to see her degraded as an evil president, as I am sure that is what is intended. Why not choose a nice, unknown, middle american name that will not offend.

  9. No one said Palin was evil, or in what light they will show her in. it could be just a humorous reference to it or whatnot. I’d wait and see before committing to any opinion.
personally, I’m betting it’s a humorous one-time reference and nothing more.

  10. I’m very glad to hear that the 5th season coming soon!!! I like this show, but I wander will Dean & Sam meet they true love or smthing like that. WHERE is the LOVE???? I know that it was at the beginning of 1st season…

  11. Man i just watched a bit of this show(season 3), i just had to watch it 4rm the beginning. This show is just the bomb it’s plot, twists and turns. Ma fav character was future Sam as Lucifer.
