Sam, Dean, and Castiel team up with the nephilim Jack to defeat God in a poster for the seven remaining episodes of Supernatural season 15. Supernatural has been around since 2005, and after fifteen years of angels, demons, and everything in between, the show is finally coming to an end. While production was delayed due to the coronavirus and the show’s final scripts were revised during lockdown, fans have been heavily anticipating the final episodes of Supernatural

Supernatural was originally supposed to end in May, but is now scheduled to return on October 8th, with the series finale airing on November 19th. When fans last saw the Winchesters, they were pinned against God, or Chuck, who was planning to destroy all the worlds he created. The only character in the show who is powerful enough to defeat God is the half-human nephilim son of Lucifer, Jack, who has basically become like an adopted son to Sam, Dean, and Castiel.

A newly released poster by the CW shows the Winchesters and Castiel teaming up with Jack to defeat God. Jack only returned to Supernatural halfway through season 15 when he was resurrected from the Empty by Billie, so the poster suggests that Jack will have a much greater role in the remainder of the season. He also previously lost a bit of Sam and Dean’s trust after he accidentally killed their mom when not having a soul, but it seems that Jack is now solidly back as one of the Winchesters. Take a look at the poster below:

Though Jack acts more or less like a teenager, he has done a lot of dark, gory things on the show, and the last few episodes of season 15 will probably see him complete even more dangerous tasks. At this stage, it is still difficult to tell what Billie’s final plan for Jack is, or if Jack is really even strong enough to beat God. The earlier episodes of season 15 also showed that if Sam, Dean, Castiel, and Jack kill Chuck, then the world will go out of balance and be overflown with monsters, so the Winchesters are going to have a hard time deciding exactly what to do about God.

Knowing Supernatural, the final episodes of season 15 will likely feature terrifying monsters, surprising twists, and many tearjerking moments. Some have been theorizing that perhaps Jack becomes powerful enough to replace Chuck as God, thus restoring balance to the universe. With Sam, Dean, and Castiel’s guidance, Jack has learned to do the right thing and to use his powers for good, at least when he does have a soul. Therefore, the Winchesters and Castiel may finally feel at peace leaving the universe to Jack, and move on from the world they’ve been protecting for over a decade. Despite what happens to Sam, Dean, Castiel, and Jack, fans should expect seven breathtaking and emotional last episodes to Supernatural.
