I still think that this sounds like a stupid idea.
Superhero stories without costumes just piss me off.
I like Green Arrow a lot so , I would be quite happy to be wrong about this movie.

I gotta admit, I thought this movie was going to fail as well, but after reading this, I can’t help but feel that they’re doing a good thing here. Save for a few exceptions nowadays (Iron Man), superhero flicks usually are pretty cliché. This would be a refreshing change.

It would PROBABLY sell more than a movie that just covers the origins of Green Arrow, because he’s not really that well-known as some other heroes, and to boot he doesn’t exactly have a very inspiring story. And anyway if the movie grows popular, it can make a true Green Arrow movie more plausible. This one just needs a good cast and director… and a better name than Supermax, I think!

Sounds good, but whats with all the emphasis on minor DC villians. Sounds like they are either trying to make up to or trying to impress the fans too much if you ask me.

IDK a transforming super prison sounds like the piramids in AVP.

I think doing this without the costumes is a great idea as GA costume as it is in the comics will not translate well to film..a little too William Tell/Robin Hood..i.e hokey..I love the character and he is a real hero who’s down to earth. He kind of broke the standard good guy character and humanized a hero with no special powers who has real human weaknesses..Kind of like Batman in green…billionare with no real super powers I mean. Great concept and this should be great!! Go Green Lantern cameo!!!!!

I think it sounds pretty cool. I hope they make this movie. I didn’t read the script because I liked to be surprised. :P I like the Green Arrow, and I think they would do well to cast the guy from Smallville in the part. He does a great job as Oliver Queen.

I like the idea of including minor villains though. Should be a lot of a lot of easter eggs to longtime fans. And anyway, I dare you to name three major Green Arrow villains quickly.

The superhero film would be very unique and more than likely a “R” rating film. Just have to see if the director has the right mindset for this film.

The Green Arrow and Green Lantern stuff from the 70’s is some pretty deep stuff dealing with corruption, drug addiction, racism and pollution. Thats why I couldn’t get into it when I was a kid but in my late teens I began to go back and really get into the Green Arrow stuff so I’m really looking forward to seeing this movie actually happen. I also love the idea, such an original idea for a superhero movie instead of the standard origin movie.

I think David Goyer will get the story right, now it all depends on who they cast in the roles.

BTW, Hearing a lot of B-level Batman baddies could be showing up in Supermax…or as I think it’s being called now Green Arrow: Escape from Supermax. There will also be a in name only cameo by The Joker. His name will appear on one of the cells from what I’ve read recently
