Can we please see superman forget his own strength and slap a goon’s head off in this film please… or at least rip a limb off. Don’t forget if he’s just starting out its perfectly plausible.
Oh and I’m liking the shot.
That shot is awesome! I thought he looked great as Clark, and I’m thinking he’s gonna make a great Superman. The “S” is kinda big, but that’s how it was in the comics.
It looks cool but it look more like a dark/evil or super pissed off version of super man.
I didn’t know Superman and Spidey had the same tailor.:p
looks OK but soem problems i have with it are:
1. the blue should be a tad lighter. not AS blue in the comics but not so dark it looks black.
2. the cape shouldn’t reach below his ankles. it looks like he’s wearing a blanket.
3. the “scale” look is stupid. maybe they’ll fix it in post-production but as of now it looks silly.
4. unlike most i dont mind the hair style. i just think its too…puffy. the pushed back hair is fine (it’s how he looks in the comics) but it looks to big. also the strand of hair in the front of his face will probably come out in the final battle or something. and even if it didnt who cares? its a strand of hair.
I do however like the fact that they avoided putting the underwear over his pants lol.
Where have i seen this similar photo before? oh right..here! http://collider.com/wp-content/uploads/Thor_movie_image-22.jpg
Doesitmatter, your comments are the perfect encapsulation of what’s wrong with fanboys. I’m so tired of the constant, critical, and unreasonable reviews you people make, which you spout off as if informed and educated people like myself give a damn about what you think. Personally, I’m excited about this image, Zack Snyder directing, and the movie in general. I’m glad we’re about to see Superman fly again on the big screen, and I wish people like you would just take a vacation from all the negativity.
Puffy hair? Are you serious??!
Oh no! A fan had an opinion! Don’t you know that movies based on material already set in stone aren’t made for the people that made the source material popular by buying it?? Is fanboy bashing the new flavor of the month and I didn’t hear about it?? If something will make a lot of people spend a lot more money on a product by listening to their opinion and making it better, why not? Fark… You fanboy bashers are so pathetic. Leave them alone and stop trying to be bullies to make yourself feel tough. Freedom of speech anyone? Fark…
Incredibly ugly and wrong suit. Another stupid rubber suit for a DC super hero to cover up the lack of physique in the lead actor. First they ruined Batman and now this, and no foreseeable hope in sight…..
at first,i`m a great fan of scr.ra.,and i live in germany. And second henry cavill looks awesome in the suit,he is perfect. i hate this people who are only critizis everything.I am waiting for months for this picture, and it is powerfull and great.
They ruined batman?
Ok I will be the 1st to say it. They symbol they are using is from the Earth-2 Superman, KAL-L. He was the Golden Age Superman first appearing in Action Comics #1. Cool. We have never seen any of his adventures on film. Cannot wait!
I’m surprised to say the least, he looks the part
Wow — I can really see the influence of Leinil F Yu’s awesome artwork in Superman: Birthright. In this picture of Henry Cavill as Superman in Man of Steel.
His cape does appear to be to long here. But they may use different capes for different scenes in the movie.
Even though they say that Man of Steel won’t be released until June 2013.I sure do hope that they release a Teaser Trailer (at the very least) — pretty soon…
whew. you people, get a life! don’t watch the movie if you dont like the costume. b…c
I actually like the potential this image represents. After being disappointed with the 2006 Singer version, I couldn’t wait for the remake of the remake. I actually think Brandon Routh was a great choice, but I’ll give this new guy a shot. The dark colors, to me, shows a more serious side of the Kryptonian – like he’s about tearing new holes in the backsides of those who cross him. Here’s the key to the success of the look, however, HOW WILL THE VILLAN LOOK? he better look just as dark and just as serious. After the Routh version, I wrote a book and came up with a character that I thought Superman should be more like. You can see the cover art here.. http://www.moorenovels.com/home . I’d love to know what you think.
