When you look at the pantheon of DC heroes, the two most popular characters to be created are undoubtedly Batman and Superman. Throughout their storied history on the page, the two have fought side by side many of times, but also had their fair share of clashes. After years, if not decades for some fans, the wait to see them on the big screen together came to an end earlier this year with Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, the second film in the DCEU to be released. It marked the second appearance of Henry Cavill as Kal-El, also known as Clark Kent, aka Superman, but so far the reception to him as not been widely accepted, unlike Ben Affleck as Batman.

Even though the events of their first on screen appearance together left Superman in a worse place than he began, we know he will be returning in Justice League. When he does come back, it appears he'll feature a signature piece of Superman's look.

With Justice League currently deep into principal photography, Jessica Hart was able to plan a special trip for two kids to visit the set of the movie. During their time on set, they got the chance to meet Cavill in full costume. In the photo, not only is he in the regular suit he has donned in the past, he also sports a new hairstyle featuring the Superman curl.

This is a once in a lifetime experience for the kids, and shows that DC and Warner Bros are being a bit more open about this production then what is considered normal. After all, the set visit reports have already been released, more than a year before Justice League is shown in theaters. This could be their latest attempt to generate good buzz around the film after mixed receptions once again came to Suicide Squad.

It is quite interesting that this photo surfaced just a few days after Cavill teased an alternate black suit for Superman this time around. It is not uncommon for them to shoot films out of order so the point in the movie with the black suit could have already been filmed, but it is a shame this visit did not happen while he wore the black suit to give us our first full look at the live-action costume. Even so, it is something we should see in time if Superman is not the regular version of the character we've seen before. Maybe the new curl is the latest piece of evidence at how he will feel more like the Superman fans have come to know and love in the comics and not the darker version we've previously seen, but only time will tell. After all, the curl could have been a complete coincidence in the first place.

Suicide Squad is in theaters now; Wonder Woman is slated for release on June 2, 2017; followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017; Aquaman on July 27, 2018; an untitled DC Film on October 5, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Justice League 2 on June 14, 2019; an untitled DC film on November 1, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps on July 24, 2020. The FlashThe Batman solo movie, and Man of Steel 2 are currently without a release dates.
