In order to gives viewers enough time to make the switch, The CW is airing the first season of Supergirl in its entirety on Mondays starting August 1st in the 8pm ET time slot, where the show will continue with its second season. As Supergirl makes its move to new home The CW, the series is giving viewers a lot to be excited about. Fans will find out exactly who was in the Kryptonian pod, new characters like Snapper Carr and Maggie Sawyer are making their way to National City, and we know that Kara/Supergirl will be the main focus of a massive DCTV crossover event this fall.

Supergirl's second season is also putting to rest the running gag of keeping Superman in the shadows. Shortly after the news of Tyler Hoechlin being cast in the role, The CW revealed what TV's Man of Steel would look like all suited up. Suffice it to say the costume certainly got tongues wagging. Now that we've seen the hero, what about Clark Kent?

One Twitter user, @PRETTYAMAZING, caught the transition in action, because it's just not Superman (or Supergirl) without the iconic shirt ripping.

Looks AMAZING!!! Can't hardly wait to see Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent / Superman in @TheCWSupergirl pic.twitter.com/pZiGoF98du— I Am... (@PRETTYAMAZlNG) August 2, 2016

If nothing else, Hoechlin certainly looks the part. Though The CW has yet to release any actual footage of him in character, some fans on set have captured video of Hoechlin in action. Pressure will be coming from all angles, given the blowback DC films have received surrounding Man of Steel and Batman V Superman. The actor has acknowledged the pressure he faces playing such an iconic role, and has teased wanting to explore Clark's sense of humor proving this portrayal is expected to be much lighter.

Fellow Supergirl star, Mehcad Brooks, has also posted a behind-the-scenes photo of his character, Jimmy Olsen, hanging out with his buddy Clark. Now that Clark is more than just a text bubble on Kara's screen, it will be interesting to see how he addresses Jimmy and Kara's relationship given that Jimmy was supposed to look after Clark's cousin. Fans will not have to wait long for a family reunion either since Clark/Superman will be appearing in the first two episodes of Supergirl's second season.

The Flash season 3 will premiere Tuesday October 4th at 8pm on The CW, Arrow season 5 will premiere in the same time slot on Wednesday October 5th, Supergirl season 2 on Monday October 10th, and Legends of Tomorrow season 2 on Thursday October 13th.
