  1. I’m gonna laugh all over this website in 2 years, maybe on this page with all your stupid pro arguments about her being right for this role cause she showed off her ass in a bikini and is an “action star” like that’s the prerequisite these days as opposite to a good actress. When you choose the first female mainstream incarnation of Wonder Woman for tens of millions of people worldwide, and my girlfriend looks more like WW and can act just as good as Gal, by that I mean say words then bite her lip then it’s shown at best it’ll be mediocre and at worst it’ll destroy the chances of a solo film. Joe Rogan has a name for guys like you, who jump in to attack others guys in defense of woman, and it isn’t hero.

    • I wasn’t one of the peeps “attacking” (if that’s what anyone was doing on the cast) but if you listened, no one said she’s the best pick. What everyone says is don’t write her off. There’s nothing to say she can’t do it.

      • Kofi & Dyce were certainly attacking Fan Boys & listenrs of the podcast who shared different views from their own. I think this episode would of been more interesting had you brought on a guest that would of challenged the opinion of the rest of the cast that seemed to share the same opinion on the casting of Gal Gadot.

Keyes you’re actually my favorite personality on the show. Keep up the good work buddy.

      • Pay zero attention to this guy. It’s refreshing to hear the SR guys address fan perceptions up front, I hate it when people from a site or podcast softball everything and act like fans always get it right.

It’s great when people get set straight no matter the context. At work I have the job of informing team mates when their strongly help viewpoint doesn’t mesh with the facts of the situation and it’s opened me up to enjoying it more instead of dreading it, especially when I hear other people doing it.

This episode in particular was a great illustration of where it’s fine, acceptable, and even proper to talk about things people were posting to the site and talk about how jacked up they were. I haven’t listened to it since the release but the example that comes to mind was all the people saying Gal Gadot wasn’t a good fit because her boobs weren’t big enough.

        • @ Ken: much appreciated.

@ Skidmark: I don’t think it’s fair to say I was attacking people who had a different opinion than mine. I made a point of saying that the chance to discuss WB’s decision not to cast a larger actress is a conversation worth having, but very few commenters on our site and elsewhere approached it from that angle.

On that note, I felt Ben definitely spoke for the people who felt that Gadot doesn’t reflect their mental image of the character. But I think we would’ve been hard pressed to find someone on the SR team who was ready to completely write off an actress based solely on her body and limited resume.

  2. Love listening to these podcasts. You guys are all awesome!! Nice to see somebody who actually believes that Snyder knows what he wants and what he is aiming for in regards to the characters that will be introduced in Man of Steel 2. Regardless of how unhappy people are about the casting of Wonder Woman, it is a reality now. Maybe just the very first trailer for Man of Steel 2 featuring superheroes that we’ve never seen on the big screen before may calm some spirits.

  3. You guys need to control Kofi. He likes going off on rants like he’s the most important, most credible person in the room.

    Maybe that’s his role here…

    • “control” Kofi? They each give their opinions and have their own way of approaching it. When someone walks up to you at your job and tells you “hey, at the next staff meeting, can you be less ‘you’ ?” how would you do that? It doesn’t work.

  4. … Well the good thing is we are in a ‘ free ‘ country , and Kofi can speak his mind. And everything he said was the the truth, like Jack Nicholson said in ‘ A few Good Men’ …. ‘ You can’t handle the truth’..

  5. My problems with the next Superman movie isn’t the casting…it’s still will always be Snyder. Take away 300 (which I tend to lean towards the overrated on this movie) he has not made good movies.

  6. Really now, we all know the reason people (fan boys) want a WW with big boobs is cuz they need material to JO to…

  7. @ 47:52 when Kofi said Gal Gadot has her work cut out for her, that is definitely true not just for her, but for the majority of this film’s principal cast. It’ll be doubly satisfying if this film kicks ass, firstly because we’ll have an awesome superhero movie with three of the genre’s biggest icons on-screen, but also it’ll prove the huge amount of naysayers wrong. I know superhero movie fans are more critical than most, but I feel that this film has been put through the wringer much more than any other and it baffles me why that is. They’ve got a proven creative team behind the project and they all obviously care a lot about it, so what is there to get all upset over?
