Super Bowl XLIV‎ is over and the Saints were able to shut down Peyton Manning and the Colts, but we’re not here to talk about that. It’s often said that the majority of viewers tune into the big game just for the commercials, so on that note we have some TV spots for upcoming movies for you.

We already had a chance to see the Super Bowl ads for M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender as well as Ridley Scott’s take on Robin Hood but now that the game has aired, we can show you the latest commercials for The Wolfman, Prince of Persia and Alice in Wonderland.

We’ll go through this in order of when the movies debut so starting us off is Joe Johnston’s remake of The Wolfman which stars Benicio Del Toro, Emily Blunt, Anthony Hopkins and Hugo Weaving

The Wolfman opens next weekend, February 12th.

Next up is Tim Burton’s re-imagining of the classic tale of Alice in Wonderland. The film utilizes Burton regulars Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter, and stars young Mia Wasikowska as the title character.

Alice in Wonderland opens March 5th, 2010.

Last but not least is the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced video game adaptation Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Directed by Mike Newell, this special effects dependent film stars Jake Gyllenhaal as the title character alongside Gemma Arterton, Ben Kingsley and Alfred Molina.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time opens May 28, 2010.

There wasn’t that many studios forking out the big bucks this year for time during the big game but out of them all, my favorite high above the rest is for The Last Airbender which is my most anticipated film of the year.

  1. I have to admit I was very surprised by the The Last Airbender trailer and I'm now on board for that film too. None of the others excited me as much.

  2. I have to admit I was very surprised by the Last Airbender trailer and I'm now on board for that film. I wasn't nearly as excited by any of the others. If anything, the Prince of Persia trailer turned me off, as well as Alice in Wonderland. I was never sold on Russell Crowe as Robin Hood and the trailer did nothing to change that. And I was never going to see Wolfman.

  3. I was a little surprised when I didn't see an Iron Man 2 trailer during the Super Bowl

  4. Yeah,I really wanted to see an Iron Man 2 ad as well.
I guess they felt they didnt need it.

  5. I was also surprised — and a bit disappointed — that there was no ad for IM2 during the Super Bowl. Despite that, I'm still on board for IM2, and can't wait for May 7th.

As for the other movies advertised, I want to get excited about The Wolfman and Alice In Wonderland, but I think I'll wait for both of them to be released on DVD. I'm not a Prince of Persia fan, and I'm wary of The Last Airbender, due to Shyamalan's recent string of disappointing movies.

  6. I was already pumped for Alice In Wonderland, but this trailer just added to that in a BIG way! Some of the clips in it were new! IS THAT A DRAGON IN IT?!? Yeah… it's gonna be awesome. Plus it comes out on my birthday.

As for the others…. Wolfman looks decent. Prince Of Persia looks dumb. The Last Airbender looks so bad.

  7. the last airbender trailer was my favorite for sure! i was impressed. and im a fan of the prince of persia games so im definitely seeing that. the others were kinda disappointing.
