The results from the Madden NFL 20 Super Bowl LIV simulation are in, and the Kansas City Chiefs came out on top over the San Francisco 49ers. Soon, these two teams will be competing for real at the 56th Super Bowl at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Last year, Madden '19 predicted the LA Rams would emerge victorious over the New England Patriots, an incorrect assumption and one which saw many Rams fans hanging their heads in disappointment as their team lost 13-3 to the Patriots.

This year's Super Bowl is likely to be even more unpredictable, given the stellar quality on display by both the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. A plethora of movie and television trailers have already been released online before they are shown during the Super Bowl, including commercials for Sonic the Hedgehog and The Spongebob Movie: Sponge On The RunWhile there will surely be more than a few surprise advertisements fans do not yet know of, one thing which they do know is which team Madden's AI thinks is going to come out on top.

According to EA, the Kansas City Chiefs won their simulated version of the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers, with a final score of 35 to 31. Patrick Mahomes, who has already had an incredible season, was simulated to break the record for most passing touchdowns in one single postseason and was named the simulated MVP of Super Bowl LIV. Although the 49ers came out strong in the first quarter of the AI game, the Chiefs came alive in the second quarter and Mahomes ended up walking away with 392 passing yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. While Madden NFL Super Bowl predictions have been accurate in the past (with the program having been right ten out of the sixteen times it has been run since inception) it should still not be taken as an absolute fact of victory, especially given the drastically different scores last year's game supplied viewers with. This is more of an enjoyable "what if" scenario than anything else, even though it will unfortunately likely influence the way some people place bets on the upcoming game next weekend.

Although Madden NFL 20 was more of the same, with an underdeveloped career mode and another with a clear emphasis on loot boxes and upgrades, EA's football franchise still shows a startling accuracy for understanding the current eccentricities of the game, something which changes every year as players and coaches grow older, change teams, and evolve. While the actual winner of Super Bowl LIV has yet to be determined, Madden NFL 20 players will likely be running their own simulations up until the moment of kickoff.
