First Class should be about the five original X-Men and of course they were teenagers. But I do feel your frustration.

If this movie is purely going to be a cash cow targeting the TWEEN market by using the current (mixed up age groups and out of continuity) crop of teen X-Men then count me out.

My previous posts have said enough of what I think.

What a load of CRAP! If First Class turns out to a TWEENIE movie without the original five X-Men then I won’t be spending my money at the box office or for the DVD when it comes out.

Total mismanagement, disregard and absolutely no respect for Marvel’s treatment of characters, ages or continuity.

Typical Hollywood executives targeting the teen market for an extra buck. Talk about a franchise that’s gone completely off the rails.

I wanna if Jean Grey – Phoenix returns alive. and she becomes the Dark Phoenix. she turns into the Dark Phoenix.
I wanna Emma Frost, Storm, Colossus, Beast, Angel, Ice man, and Rogue that they bring Professor Charles Xavier and Cyclops for alive any more.what’s happening with Magneto ?
her power lost ! I wanna all of the old cast come back. I don’t want to see young actors and young actresses for X men First Class. I’d better agree with mostly people want to
Famke Janssen, Halle Berry, Tilda Swinton, Cameron Diaz, Rebbeca Romijn, Jennifer Garner, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin, James Marsden etc. mostly people were very happy if they are turn in X men First Class. and I’d better add Apocalypse, Gambit, Polaris, Selene, and bastion in First Class.
my ambition is, I need you to make X men First Class a the best ever. that’s what I want and people want.

Hey Magnetic Eye,

I guess I’m a little bit old school like yourself. Prof X, Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Beast, Angel and Iceman would be so cool but it would have to be done right for it to work.

Jon Favreau or Christopher Nolan could certainly keep it relevant and authentic as you say remaining true and faithful to the books.

Just look at Iron Man and The Dark Knight, IMO the best adaptations of comic book characters brought to life on the big screen.

Which is precisely why a total reboot with an (A list) Director who has an understanding of the history of Uncanny X-Men would be better received IMHO.

One thing that really gets up my nose is the absolute disregard for character ages and continuity with the X-Men films.

I can sort of understand Hollywood’s perceived notion of making as much money as they can at the box office by targeting as many teens as possible, but stray too far from the original source material and you’ve lost my interest and my repeat business.

The picture of the original five X-Men at the top of this page, resonates far better with me and paints an accurate depiction of what an X-Men (origins / first class) film should be all about – AUTHENTICITY!

Dannian Moscow, you gave us one of the funniest comments, first class, is the story of Xavier first class, with the original members, Cyclops, Jen Gray, Beast, Ice Man AND Angel, but the last two can not be part of this group because in the first triology they were very youngs, which means they will be chuldren in the movie first class, so I expect to see Storm and Emma Frost on this next film, portrayed by young actors, and Helle Berry Fanke Jansen or Cameron Diaz.

Beast can be in there cause beast was human during First Class. He started to become blue later in life. Do a search of the Xmen first class and you will see he is human.

I would much rather see a total reboot with an (A list) Director who has an understanding of the history of Uncanny X-Men, a strong cinematic vision for spectacular “mise-en-scène”,for continuity and narrative and a deep respect for the original source material.

As grateful as I am that these movies are getting made, I’m also getting a liitle sick of the lack of vision some Hollywood producers seem to exhibit toward an accurate rendering of comic book characters.

Bring back Cyclops, Jean Grey, & Prof. Xavier with Angel, Iceman and The Beast. Cyclops should be portrayed as a strong and powerful team leader, not as a wimp.

Havoc, Storm, Colossus and Banshee ought to be better developed as well.

As much as I love Wolverine as a dark brooding character, for me he’s become a little over exposed and over rated.

They could put Storm in there. Knowing she’s 2nd in command, and Hank McCoy may not be able to appear as Beast but in the comics he was known to wear a costume like the others in. Even in X3 he mentioned how he couldnt believe that costume once fitted him so its possible for him to be part of a group. He was no stranger at Xavier’s school except to Wolverine.

4. Emma Frost (only cause they cant use Iceman since he would be a child.
5. Banshee ( I read that he was suppose to be written in as one of the mutants saved at the end of Wolverine, but took his name out. He is one of the Red headed Kids in the cages that wolverine frees. He would replace Angel as one of the first 5 who can fly. Plus he would be around the right age as the comics with him being the father of Siyrn who was in X-2 and X-3.”

Beast can’t be in this movie because it showed him as a human in X2. So, there would be a continuity problem.

most of us don’t want the whole movie about the romance of scoot and jean
there are other couples that are very cute,too!
we don’t wanna know what happened before,we wanna know what the hell will happen!!
if you wanna know what happened before:read the comics!

we want x-men 4!
we wanna know what’s up with the professor!
we wanna know what’s up with magneto and his powers!
we wanna know what happened with the ones who survived the phoenix!(especially pyro,please)
we want a spin-off!
we want the cast of x-men 3 to come back,please!
we want a the best x-men movie ever!

rogue never stole anyones powers and used them in the movies, except for pyro. They would have been better off using a human instead of a mutant since she didn’t do anything. If they make an x4 then they have to give magneto his powers back. We saw the end of x3 when he moved a chess peice. They could say the cure was only temporary. At the end of x4 when the sentinels are about to kill all the mutants in some big battle, magneto could come in just in time and destroy them. They have to give pyro some more lines too he’s the coolest mutant.

well marvel gives the producers and directors freedom to take the story where ever they want, thats why we lost 3 x men in the last movie, jean, cyclops and xavier. now what i would like to know is who would play xavier? i mean they made patrick stewart look a little younger in orgins wolverine, so would they use him or someone else. also i hate when they do stuff that makes you think somethingelse is coming, like the fact that charles transfered his mind into that body, which would lead one to think that there would be more movies following X3. also fans were wanting to see sentinels, but all we got wasa brief look at one in the danger room. and as far as rouge, maybe she be part of the other first class series. even if she is how long b4 they gave her some real stuff to do? you see how long it took them to allow storm to fly. i would have thought they would want to develope iceman and roughs powers, who knows what the heck they will do, i just hope they take the fans who can make or breaka movie take the fans suggestions into consideration. and i know deadpool had his own comic so he has a story of his own, but does anyone know if gambit had a solo story in the comics?

You’re right, they can’t do that with this movie since it’s within the existing film continuity as Angel and Iceman aren’t part of the team till way later (Angel aint till after the X-trilogy).

A lot of X-fans would like to see Marvel re-do the X-movies but I dug the first two, they just continued to dig a hole since then though
