After the wildly “artistic” poster and the fittingly-ignored original, Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li has decided to release yet another to rally support and generate buzz. But there’s just one problem, it’s boring and fails as well.
This latest poster features still characters (some unidentified), and an ancient scroll feel. The change in slogan is a good replacement for the weak tag line: “Some Fight for Power. Some Fight for Us.” The new phrases are closer to what it should be – after all this is (supposedly) one character’s story.

The supporting cast is framed vertically creating the back wall for the main character. Unlike the original, there’s no silhouette of two fighters doing battle. As a matter of fact, there’s no action at all. At the very least, Chun-Li should give us a kick or something.
Also, none of the characters look anything like they do in the game. But overall it ends up looking better than the confusing, white space overload of the last poster. It just doesn’t get me terribly excited to see this take on Street Fighter.
The only remotely interesting thing in the poster is Vega (coincidentally a character I’m looking forward to seeing). He has his trademark claw raised across his face – just like his character/icon in the game. Yes I know, I’m probably going to be wildly disappointed because he doesn’t really look like the snobbish bull-fighter he’s suppose to be. But even if they get his hair color wrong, I can still have some false hope.
The poster features Kristin Kreuk (Chun-Li), Michael Clarke Duncan (Balrog), Neal McDonough (M. Bison), Taboo (Vega), Robin Shou (Gen), and Chris Klein (Nash). You can see it below.
Street Fighter: The Leged of Chun-Li opens in theaters on Februrary 27th.

Uhm you do realise this has been exposed as a fan made poster?
Even if it wasnt a fan made poster it really isnt that made. Im sure this movie will be lame but I think people are being way too hypebolic. For a fan made poster or a studio poster, it looks fine. Try harder internets lol
People seriously need to do some research before posting something, it seems like blogs just echo each other.
That poster is fan made and I have to agree with wasabi steak, even for a fan made poster, it’s still awesome.
Stop looking for reasons to dump on this film.
Perhaps you folks could be helpful and provide a link to a site that proves this is a fake.
Post that link here and I’ll gladly take down this post.

That’s a fake? It’s certainly not the best poster I’ve ever seen but its a lot better than a lot of the official posters for many recent movies.

I remember the fake Wolverine poster.
So it’s a fake. I wouldn’t take down the post because apparently any fake looks heck of a whole lot better than that junk we were subjected to a few weeks ago.
But then again, even an unwashed bathroom hand towel looks better than the official poster.

I agree with Oscar, Darren and Josh; keep the poster on this thread. And HAHA, Vic does do his research but even the most vigilant of researchers can make a mistake.
The poster is staying up. I like it and I’ve added a disclaimer at the top.
