Eleven will go through her "coming of age" story in Stranger Things season 3, Millie Bobby Brown teases. The hit Netflix series, which has just started production last month, may not be back for new episodes this year, but as early as now, the British star is already hinting at what her character will be up to once it returns.

After a darker sophomore season, Stranger Things ended on a high note with Eleven finally getting some sort of peace as she begins her new life as Jane Hopper. While she's not totally out of danger yet (it's expected that her past will still factor in her narrative moving forward), season 3 of the Netflix series will kick-off with the character living the life of a normal teen after a significant time jump. Season 2's epilogue has already hinted at that character trajectory for Eleven - being allowed attend the Snow Ball at Hawkins Middle School where she shared a tender moment with Mike, capping it all off with their second kiss.

Brown, who caught up with Variety while appearing at Netflix’s FYSee event at Raleigh Studios over the weekend alongside co-star and Noah Schnapp (who plays Will Byers) and Stranger Things director Shawn Levy, teased what fans can expect on Eleven once the new season rolls out. “It’s a beautiful storyline for Eleven this season. It’s really a coming of age for her and understanding what being a normal teenage girl is,” she said.

During the Stranger Things panel, the young actress also opened up on her process of bringing such an obscure character like Eleven to life. Brown revealed that she's already developed a method that allows her effectively bring out the emotionality of the character - something that is especially needed in season 3 because "stranger things happen."

“I found another side of my acting that I didn’t know about. I found techniques on how to cry and how to get angry, and I learned so much from Eleven, from those episodes of being isolated, that when I’m back Season 3, things happen — stranger things happen. I’m just saying I use that style of acting now and my method of acting for Season 3."

It could be a bit jarring to see Eleven go through the usual pubescent years considering the circumstances that she's been through in the first two seasons of Stranger Things. But, it might also just be the best way to advance her story in order to keep things fresh and intriguing for fans. It'll be interesting to see her in a normal setting and finally find her own identity after years of being abused and experimented on. Seeing how she'll settle living a normal teenager's life and how she'll deal with the entirely different set of complications that it could offer will definitely be a fun spin on her character.
