Sylvester Stallone has been making some additions to the cast of his up and coming film The Expendables. Actor and WWE alum, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and horror actress Charisma Carpenter have been added to the lineup of an already all-star case including Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Forest Whitaker, Mickey Rourke, Danny Trejo and Eric Roberts.

Variety reports:
WWE alum “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Charisma Carpenter have been added to the cast of “The Expendables,” starring, written and directed by Sylvester Stallone. Cast includes Mickey Rourke and Jason Statham.
Austin recently wrapped fight pic “Damage” and inked a TV development deal with Original Media and Caliber Media. Carpenter just completed horror pics “House of Bones” and “Vivid.”
The film, that Stallone is writing, directing and starring in is about a band of the world’s best mercenaries thrown together by leading world governments in order to take down a ruthless dictator in South America. However, they arrive in South America only to realize they’ve been sent on a suicide mission because they were literally looked at as “expendable.”
The more I hear about this film the better it sounds. This is totally the sort of film that I love to watch. The cast alone could make a Lifetime original film interesting so I can’t wait to see what they do with exciting, and action packed subject matter like this! Plus, a little more Jason Statham action is always appreciated by this broad, cough.

I actually liked “Stone Cold” in that movie The Condemned. The plot was a little predictable, basically the second I saw him looking at the bearing indicator on the helicopter during their transport there, I already knew he was going to turn out to be some special forces guy or something. But it was still a fun movie to watch, especially the part where they kept repeating the footage of that guy blowing up, that was hilarious.
So Sly has gotten everyone he wants except for Sandra Bullock. That’s not bad, and Rourke is definitely coming back into the Action department these days too.
He didn’t get Van Damne either.
Van Damme missed out but I hear that he and Dolphy are making another Universal Soldier togehter, can this be true?
To quote Arnold in the legendary Predator: “This is getting better by the minute.” Now, if Sly can only get Apollo in here. “Dillion! You son-of-a-bitch!”
Note to Tarantino, this is how you assemble a crew!
WOW!!! All these people in one film! I really miss Charisma! She is a better pick than Sandra for me.
Pretty cool. I only hope that Stallone can all these pieces to fit well together.

I love this movie.
