I finished reading The Host a few days ago and am absolutely thrilled they are making it into a film, my only hope is that they stick to the book as well as they can and portray the characters good and choose suitable actors and actresses, sounds like it will be brilliant and I can’t wait till they set a date for it so I can start counting down the days.

I think this will be good. I definitively like The Host a lot more than the Twilight series, and with passionate producers and a talented director, this movie is something I’ll be looking forward to. It’d also be cool if Meyer joins the crew. (I hope they pick Sophia Bush to play Melanie Stryder, and Josh Hutcherson as Jamie).

As I am sure the world is well aware, Mrs. Meyer has the writing ability of a chimp on crack. If this book is half as bad as any other book she wrote, it is worthy to be sent to third world countries lacking toilet paper. I have not read the book, and I have not had a lobotamy either. I have read the Twilight series and regret every second I wasted! Stephanie Meyer is simply terrible. The only possible way for her to “write” a decent book would be to give a ghost writer an outline, or better yet a half finished outline for a new book, then finish it without further assistance from Meyer. If she lived 2,000 years and wrote daily the chances of her completing a good book are 1/100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 sorry but it is true!

I finish the book The Host and when I was reading I heard that the book was being made into a movie. I am so excited, I wish that it was coming out now! I so want to see this movie!

Twilight was a good book no doubt, but also one of those follow the leader happenings. The Host is one of my all time favorite novels I've ever encountered. Stephenie Meyer is without a doubt a fantastic writer, and I believe The Host captured just how well she can weave a story. As always, Meyer proved to be a fan of the tormented love stories, of conflicting obstacles that seem to make love between two fascinating characters impossible. I am extremely excited to see The Host and all it's characters come to life on the big screen and am waiting rather impatiently for when the time comes. I just hope more people read this book, it truly is a page-turning, edge of the seat, romantic in it's very own way novel and I know those Twilight fans would love it!!

omg i cant wait it is going to b so good… i read all her books and love the movies… the host has to b a good movie cuz the book was amazing, unless people start changing what happend or the story thats when the movies suck lol but i can't wait to see the cast.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Host and I have reread it many times. I actually recommended it to a friend about a year ago and mentioned to her that I would love someone to make a movie from the book. I might just have gotten my wish. I loved the book. It was exciting, emotional, suspenseful at times. If I could pick who would play Melanie, it would be Anne Hathaway, Reese Witherspoon or Kate Beckinsale.

I am in the process of reading “The Host” by Stephenie Meyer. The book is defiantly something that Meyer came up with herself. The book is truly a little confusing and unique for her writing style, with making herself known by “Twilight” as her debut novel in 2000-2001. It was truly unexpected to us “Twilight” fans when she released “The Host” shortly after “Eclipse”, the third book in “The Twilight Saga.” Personally, I love her writing, though I wasn’t to pleased with the way that “Breaking Dawn” ended. I was hoping that Bella would end up with Jacob, I thought that he suited her more then Edward did. But oh well, “This too shall pass.” Overall, what I have read of “The Host” is getting better and clearer, I put the book down for some time and looked up on it to clear my perspective on it. But now that I understand it more, I am excited to pick the book back up again.

The Thought of making a movie at first came to me as a surprise, and now that I know generally how they are going to do it, I am excited about it and I hope that Stephenie Meyer will be participating in this one too. The movie of “Twilight,” I thought, was a huge waist of my time, but “New Moon” is set to come out in about 50 days, and it looks like it will be so much better then “Twilight,” I already have my tickets for the Midnight Matinee.

No sparlking vampires= no one will see it. Really? Who could pass on such wondefully written literature as Twi- hahahahahah I’m sorry, I lost it on that one. She’s terrible. Don’t take my word for it though. I wish a venerated veteran(consonance, playas) writer would express an opinion on her work. Someone universally respected by the literary community. Someone like…I dunno, Stephen King? Oh wait.

well, i loved the twilight saga, but the host was even better. it was creative, and it really made you think. i’m excited, but also a little afraid of what the movie will be like. i hope they won’t get it wrong!

I read the book and I liked it, but I’m still not a fan of the weak women she writes. Although I shouldn’t because it makes them more real I guess.

this is the only one of Myer’s books that I’ve read and (IMO ) its a really good story.
I think that this could make a good movie.
