The Host

With The Host, Stephenie Meyer leaves the supernatural teenage romance of Twilight behind for the teenage romance of... science fiction:

A parasitic alien soul is injected into the body of Melanie Stryder (Saoirse Ronan). Instead of carrying out her race's mission of taking over the Earth, "Wanda" (as she comes to be called) forms a bond with her host and sets out to aid other free humans.

The Host will be in theaters on March 29, 2013.

 Brave

With Brave Pixar hopes to bring a modern (read: post-feminist) spin to the classic princess fairy tale, while also mixing in a bit of Celtic mythology and mysticism:

Determined to make her own path in life, Princess Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald) defies a custom that brings chaos to her kingdom. Granted one wish, Merida must rely on her bravery and her archery skills to undo a beastly curse.

In this clip, Merida's father King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) tries to help his wife Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson) find a way to get through to their stubborn, tomboy of a daughter:

Brave will be in theaters on June 22, 2012.

Total Recall

Len Wiseman (Underworld, Die Hard 4) attempts to both re-interpret the original story by sci-fi icon Philip K. Dick and remake the film by Paul Verheoven, in what will hopefully be a fun new Total Recall experience:

As the nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai vie for supremacy, a factory worker (Colin Farrell) begins to suspect that he's a spy, though he is unaware which side of the fight he's on.

Total Recall will be in theaters on August 3, 2012.

That's My Boy

While still in his teens, Donny (Adam Sandler) fathered a son, Todd (Andy Samberg), and raised him as a single parent up until Todd's 18th birthday. Now, after not seeing each other for years, Todd's world comes crashing down as, just before his marriage to lovely Jamie (Leighton Meester), Donny comes stumbling back into the picture.

That's My Boy will be in theaters on June 15, 2012.
