Cool post Bruce, I’m gonna be at the Stargate/Serenity convention this weekend in Burbank.
Should be fun,,,
I love conventions. This will be the last big show “Science fiction” wise at the Burbank Marriott…

If Atlantis continued Wouldnt MGM
make MORE PROFIT off the DVDS?
The Studio mentality Eternally Confuses me .

@Bruce or anyone who may possess the knowledge,

So was it MGM that cancelled Stargate SG-1 or was it Sci-Fi saying they would no longer telecast the series? If it is the latter I can understand why if this statement: “Even though we watch Stargate on the Sci-Fi Channel, Sci-Fi does not own the rights to the franchise. They are allowed to telecast the shows, but they don’t own them. MGM owns the rights to do with the franchise as they wish.” is true. Sci-Fi misses out on a whole lot of money not having the rights to the DVD sales and such. They solely rely on ratings and the ad revenue generated by it. Tough.
