Disney XD has released a new trailer for Star Wars Rebels season 4, teasing the beginnings of the Rebellion on the series. Shortly after The Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm in 2012, the Mouse House began restructuring the former George Lucas-owned company's lineup. In addition to setting aside the Expanded Universe (now known as Legends), Disney canceled the fan-favorite animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Lucasfilm's next Star Wars venture on the small screen wound up instead being about the Rebel Alliance's early years, as explored through the lens of the TV show Star Wars Rebels.

Rebels started out five years prior to the events of Lucas' Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, moving closer to the film's climactic battle with each passing season. Aside from showing how the galaxy's rebellious factions managed to unite under one banner, Rebels has provided closure for The Clone Wars fans, showing what happened to fan-favorite characters such as Ahsoka Tano and Captain Rex, along with finally depicting the highly-anticipated rematch between Darth Maul and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Now, with the final season looming, it's time to bring Rebels' story to an end.

Lucasfilm and Disney XD have released a new, one-minute trailer for Star Wars Rebels' upcoming season 4 premiere on Monday, October 16th, teasing the beginning of the Rebellion, as well as showing the numerous personal and faction-wide battles that Star Wars is well-known and regarded for. Although Rebels' latest trailer features several new scenes, many of the scenes are continuations of ones shown in past trailers, such as the second official trailer that debuted last month. However, the overarching narrative of the latest trailer appears to be about the Rebellion starting out small and showing how it turned into a substantial threat to Grand Admiral Thrawn and the Galactic Empire as a whole. And judging by past marketing materials, as well as the season 4 episode synopses that released last week, audiences should expect the Rebellion's fight with Thrawn to come to a head in an epic way before the series concludes.

Aside from defeating Thrawn and delivering yet another blow to the Empire, there are numerous storylines that need to be resolved this season, such as Kanan and Ezra Bridger's existence during the original trilogy, as well as how the series eventually connects to Gareth Edwards' Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Of course, answers and resolutions to these questions and stories will come sooner than later, when Star Wars Rebels begins its fourth and final season later this month.
