Was star wars the clone wars a kiddy movie? I saw the original animated star wars the clone wars series and that was gritty enough to hold my attention. However when the cgi clone wars hit the big screen and I made plans to see it my younger cousins laughed at me. So now all cgi movies are kiddy movies?

Saw them last night and they were all right. Geared little more to kids than adults with little morals at the begining. I was’nt impressed enough to tune in every week though.

I just saw a blade of grass grow 1/10th of a centimeter. That was much better than this movie.

Have to say when I saw Yoda start boinging about like Zebedee (Magic Roundabout reference) I thought it was daft.

I loved Yoda in the first moives, being this half mad, half sage character. In the prequels he went far too one way, even if that was understandable. Would like to see him more nutty again.

But my love for this universe has been drained. I’m not even sure when or if this is shown over here. If can catch it, will have a look, but not looking out for it.

Look at it this way…George Lucas isn’t writing or directing, always a good thing!

That is definately a good thing. The man needs to stay with effects and leave the directing to the ones who know how to direct actors.

I don’t like the animation style involved with this. It just looks marianationish, and I hate those shows.

George, why don’t you produce Episodes 7, 8 and 9 for goodness sake??!!

I’ve encountered some of the books geared at the teen population, and I wasn’t fazed in a bad way by them, and this will be a great tool for Lucasfilm to draw in new fans.

Now we wait and see how it really is!

Even though I haven’t yet seen the ‘film’ (*cough*pilot-getting-a-needless-cinema-release*cough*) I have a feeling that the series will come off as far more acceptable.

Let’s face it, this was never meant for the big screen and will probably work out far, far better on the small screen — plus, the fact that this will be spread out over several episodes means that there will be further scope for adding some meat to what is a fairly shallow story.

I’ve a feeling that this series will be dumb, brainless fun.

Look at it this way…George Lucas isn’t writing or directing, always a good thing!

I think the pilot film turned off my excitement for the series.
