There’s really a ton of back story material in Star Wars, every character has a story to tell…
I couldn’t believe the back stories they developed just out of the characters in Jabba’s throne room. Remember that little dog-like creature in the hallway? He has A story! That book actually gets into what happened to Jabba’s palace after he died.

“The Great Droid Revolution was an uprising of droids on Coruscant which occurred in 4,015 BBY and the first conflict of the Old Sith Wars. It was during the Revolution where Jedi Master Arca Jeth learned the technique of short-circuiting a droid by using the Force. One of the memorable instants of the Revolution was when juggernaught war droids battled rocket-jumpers over Monument Plaza.

“After the rogue assassin droid HK-01 was finally captured, the Republic spent many years recovering from the attacks. Droid designers and manufacturers then turned to weapons developers to work on ion weapons that would short-circuit a droid’s electronic systems. The result of this conflict would be an end to the budding ‘droids’ rights’ movement for a time.”

The live-action show is not Clone Wars-era, but rather post-War, pre-Episode IV. This is actually one of the less-developed periods of time in the Star Wars movie era. They’re running a comic called “Dark Times,” and of course “The Force Unleashed,” but most of the other material is set closer to Episode IV (Han Solo and Lando novels, Dark Forces, etc), if I’m remembering correctly.

They’re removing liquid now at the cellular level. I think once the Clone Wars series is over (in about four years, if they get their way — 100 episodes), then they’ll focus elsewhere.

But, it might be worth it if I get to see some X-Wings on TV.
I love me some X-Wings … rumor is they’re casting for Rebel Alliance parts for the series, so maybe it won’t exclusively be criminal stuff (I know, technically the Rebels are criminals as well, by the Empire’s way of thinking).

Me and you both have read to much expanded universe stuff!LOL!
But you bring up some points about the Yuuzhan Vong and the resurrection of the emperor. People forget about that stuff.
There were still a very few Jedi left after ROTS for Vader to track down but Lucas would never use that storyline. We’ll end up with the something like the droids Saturday morning cartoon show except live action.

You never read the comic books did you? The emperor made a clone body for himself and when he died he “forced” his spirt in to it. He wanted to lie forever. And the reson he made the empire was to unite the system’s to fight off the Yuuzhan Vong a spices from another universe that wanted to concor the star wars universe. So if they wanted too they could make a 7,8,&9 and I think that would be awsome but unlikly to happen.
