A new image has arrived for The Last Jedi, bringing together Rey, Finn, and new character Rose. With only a few months to go before the latest Star Wars film hits theaters, fans are still in the dark about much of The Last Jedi. Last weekend's D23, luckily, finally shed some light on things. Along with a new set of character posters, a behind-the-scenes sizzle reel was released for the film. Not only did it give fans a look at the more technical side of the movie, it also featured some new footage and scenes for what's sure to be 2017's biggest film.

The Last Jedi isn't set to have a presence at San Diego Comic-Con, but that doesn't mean we won't get new Star Wars news. One early glimpse we've had of the movie thanks to the behind-the-scenes reel was the Porgs. A cute new set of creatures, Lucasfilm officially revealed more information about the critters both in universe and out. The adorable new animals only scratch the surface, however, when it comes to the new corners of the Star Wars galaxy we'll see in The Last Jedi. Now, we have a look at some of the human characters from the film.

Lucasfilm posted a new image for The Last Jedi that brings together Finn, Rey, and new character Rose. Check it out:

As the photo is a promo image, it's hard to tell if it reveals anything about the character pairings we'll see in the movie. We know Rose is part of the rebellion, meaning she'll likely interact with Finn and Poe. Whether Finn and Rose will meet up with Rey, it's unclear.

Most of The Last Jedi will feature Rey training with Luke. Still, what's the point of all that training if she can't come help her friends? With lightsaber in hand and the battle on new planet Crait in the background, the shot could tease a climatic showdown between the Rebels and the First Order in the movie, and Rey has obviously seen some action with a dark bruise over her left eye.

So far, we've only seen one shot on Crait in the first trailer, but it's clear a big battle is going down. If the Rebel Alliance find themselves on the losing end of things, Rey and Luke coming in at the last minute to turn the tide could make for a fantastic scene. As Comic-Con continues and we edge closer to the release of The Last Jedi, we should know a lot more soon.
