With the December 2015 release of J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens right around the corner, the galaxy far, far away is about to re-enter the pop culture zeitgeist at light speed. Of course, this means there will be a bevy of Star Wars-related merchandise for consumers to collect in the coming months.

Chief among those items will be video games, with a new edition of the popular Star Wars Battlefront title hitting stores November 2015. If that wasn’t enough to entice you to purchase a console (considering you don’t already own one), then perhaps the Star Wars inspired PlayStation 4 will.

At the 2015 D23 Expo, Sony announced that a very limited Darth Vader-themed edition of their PlayStation 4 gaming system will be available for purchase beginning November 17, 2015 (the same day as Battlefront) and preorders will start soon. The console includes an image of Darth Vader on the front and a repeated Star Wars logo placed across the top. The DUALSHOCK wireless controller also has a nice touch, as it is inspired by Vader’s chest panel from his suit and also includes the repeated logo across the touchpad.

What’s even more intriguing for gamers is that the Vader PS4 is part of two limited edition bundles. The first of these is called the Battlefront PS4 bundle. As the name suggests, it includes a copy of the new Battlefront video game (the so-called “deluxe edition”) and also comes with a voucher to download four classic Star Wars games. These titles are Super Star Wars, Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter, and Star Wars Bounty Hunter, all of which are available on the PS4 for the first time and feature enhanced graphics and Trophy support.

The ‘Battlefront’ PS4 bundle

The Battlefront bundle is also available in a “standard edition.” The only difference is that instead of the Vader themed PS4, you’ll get a regular console with the basic jet black controller. It still comes with the deluxe edition of the new Battlefront game and vouchers for the four classic games.

If you’re more of a Disney Infinity fan, Sony has you covered as well. The Disney Infinity 3.0 Star Wars PS4 bundle comes with a physical copy of Disney Infinity 3.0, the Disney Infinity Base, a Rise Against the Empire play set pack (including Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia figures, and the Rise Against the Empire play set piece), and a special Boba Fett figure that is exclusive to PlayStation through the holiday season. Like the Battlefront bundle, this one will include a download voucher to the four classic games mentioned above. However, it is only available at Wal-Mart stores.

All in all, this seems like a complete package for any hardcore Star Wars gamer. Not only is the system itself nice in design, it comes with a complete slate of games that’s sure to keep anyone busy for hours on end.

The Darth Vader inspired PS4 bundles will be available on November 17, 2015. Preorders start soon.
