The name of the jungle planet in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has been revealed. In addition to new characters, each installment in the Star Wars franchise looks to add new worlds to the ever-expanding galaxy far, far away. The modern movies aren't averse to revisiting classic settings (Yavin IV made an appropriate appearance in Rogue One), but each has been successful in taking viewers to fresh locales to explore. Even if some of these planets bear heavy resemblance to ones seen in the earlier films (Jakku = Tatooine, etc.), they're still new places that illustrate the grand scope of the universe.

It looks like The Rise of Skywalker is going to bring fans back to Endor (where wreckage from the second Death Star sits), but this December's blockbuster will have a couple new planets too. Desert world Pasaana (which was seen in the teaser trailer) and snow-covered location Kijimi (Zorii Bliss' home world) were confirmed months ago during the early stages of marketing. Another jungle planet has been seen in footage so far, but it has gone unnamed until now.

On the Star Wars Leaks subreddit, user Godxon shared an image of the latest version of Star Wars Monopoly that was released. The board includes a spot for a planet called Ajan Kloss, which looks to be that aforementioned jungle world from Rise of Skywalker. Check out the picture in the space blow:

The image depicts what in all likelihood is a Resistance base, making Ajan Kloss the latest in a growing line of jungle planets where the heroes establish HQ (after Yavin IV and D'Qar). Since so little is known about the Star Wars 9 narrative at this point in time, it's difficult to say for sure how prominently Ajan Kloss will feature in the film. It's possible it's a primary setting for the first act as fans learn the current state of the Resistance and catch up with Rey, Finn, and Poe Dameron before they embark on their mission. During Celebration Chicago, a still image of the main group on what could be Ajan Kloss was revealed. The characters were all standing around the Millennium Falcon, giving the impression they're about to fly off together and set the plot in motion.

Star Wars fans know that typically, the Rebellion/Resistance base is involved in a major battle, be it Yavin IV, Hoth, D'Qar, or Crait. Going by that history, it'd be easy to assume Ajan Kloss is going to be a First Order target at some point in the movie, though it would be nice if J.J. Abrams mixed up the formula a bit and gave viewers something different. There's nothing wrong with paying homage to what's come before, but audiences have seen several variations of the "villains threaten the heroes' base" trope in the saga. Since The Rise of Skywalker is the last episode, going in a new direction would probably be appreciated.
