The ever-churning rumor mill continues to provide Star Wars fans with topics to discuss about The Last Jedi, but Lucasfilm has been characteristically brief on revealing any official details about the highly-anticipated film. It will likely stay that way for a while, seeing that the initial teaser trailer isn't due until Star Wars Celebration this April. Until the first footage is unveiled, viewers have no choice but to poke through various bits of theories and speculation, hoping something slips through between now and December.

Actor Josh Gad is just as determined as the casual moviegoer to learn the truth about Episode VIII, only he has direct access to franchise star Daisy Ridley. The two are part of the A-list ensemble cast for the Murder on the Orient Express remake, which is currently in production. Gad has taken it upon himself to discover all the Last Jedi secrets that are on his mind, grilling Ridley about plot details in a series of hilarious videos he's posted on social media. For the last one, Gad enlisted the help of Dame Judi Dench, and now even more celebrities are getting in on the action.

Taking to Instagram, Gad shared the latest installment of his ongoing series. Once again, he promises Ridley he is done inquiring about the latest Star Wars film, before panning the camera to show a room full of Hollywood talent with questions of their own. You can check it out below:

This has been a battle of attrition. #daisyridley has been a force to be reckoned with. In many ways she is the Vader to my Luke or the Taylor to my Katy. But like any good opponent, I have tried to outmaneuver her at every turn. This will be her final judgement. May the force be with her, because kids, she is going to need it. All I ask is that you don't ruin the surprise for others. #TheLastJedi #starwars #broughtsomefriendsalongfortheride @disney @starwars @penelopecruzoficial @prattprattpratt @brycedhoward @colintrevorrow @leslieodomjr @lucyboynton1 @brycedhoward @derek.connolly A post shared by Josh Gad (@joshgad) on

While some fans were concerned the schtick was in danger of running thin, this is arguably the best video Gad has recorded to date. He's assembled quite a collection of friends to aid him in his quest, including Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Leslie Odom, Jr., and Penelope Cruz. The most hilarious appearances, however, are the ones by Star Wars sequel trilogy directors Colin Trevorrow (who will make Episode IX) and Force Awakens helmsman J.J. Abrams. In a moment that makes even Ridley crack up, Abrams pleads to know if Luke Skywalker will finally have lines of dialogue in The Last Jedi, following his wordless cameo in Episode VII. Of course, Abrams and Trevorrow know much more about the arc of the story than others, so they're just having fun with Ridley, who has taken all of these videos in stride.

Some will debate whether these are staged or not (hopefully, it's the latter), but there's no denying they are nevertheless entertaining watches to help pass the time until Disney kicks off the Last Jedi marketing campaign. After the record-breaking success of The Force Awakens, everyone is on pins and needles waiting for the followup and can't wait for the premiere. It remains to be seen how many more videos Gad releases before Orient Express wraps, but if he can keep outdoing himself like he does here, this series hasn't run its course just yet.
