Hey Vic, here’s the deal. I’ve been a Star Trek fan since I was a child, I’m now forty and I have to tell you I would be really happy to see the new film: A. Be wonderfully, mind expanding entertainment. B. Not only reinvent the franchise, but bring stories that continues to inspire science and a benevolent vision of the future. Now even though I only have a limited amount of time to get my excitement glands on full thrusters I also. C. Need to have you continue updating this site. I’m impressed with this entire site, clearly you have a passion for storytelling and film. I didn’t realize at first you update what looks like most of the Screen Rant site…Impressive. Keep up the good work! Please.

Personally,I REALLY hope JLA still happens next year. I hope Tom Welling plays Superman cuz Routh won’t be in it,unfortunately.

But yeah,Heath,I heard that stuff about JLA too. And frankly I think it’s a load of crap. No WAY would they make a JLA film without Superman and Batman,no way. I hope they wouldn’t do that anyway……

And it would be nice if MOS came out next year.

You know I don’t buy that “summer movies do better” nonsense. Make a good film and audiences will go see it, no matter when it is released. Make a garbage film with a good trailer and people will see it for the first week and no repeat business. Case in point, the Lord of the Rings movies. I think the studios hype up the summer release date too much and make a bigger deal of it then there is.

Noooooooooo! Sorry, I just can’t wait for Star Trek, I need my fix, after seeing that teaser trailer (which is pretty awsome) I have to wait 5 more months? I know it will be better and they can fine tune things, but the kid in me want’s to see it as soon as possible!!!!!!

I think we WILL be seeing the SUPERMAN sequel MAN OF STEEL for Summer 2009 after all. Rumor has it WB has pushed back JLA’s start-date as far back as 2010(!)

As for STAR TREK, I’ll be honest. I called it happening on my radio show MOVIE MOAN a few weeks back. Granted, I did think I’d probably be wrong. But it made sense to delay it for its apparent badly needed re-writes.

Heath, I agree with you about ANGELS & DEMONS. It’d be better suited for a Christmas 2009 release.

I can almost guarantee you that Angels and Demons won’t premiere then. Script problems delayed it (due to the writers strike), so I think if they try to start without an actors union deal in place, it’ll be too risky.

Unless I’m way off, I think it’ll be late 2009 or even May 2010!

I had a feeling JJ would do some re-writes, and you’ve often voiced how worried you were about onset re-writes. If it’ll be better, bump it to May. But remember, all the TNG movies came out in November or December.

On the other hand, I’m wondering about Justice League. Rumor has it, it may be resurrected. But without Batman or Superman. Hmmm…
