More New Star Trek Character Stills

Published 6 years ago by , Updated February 10th, 2012 at 7:31 am,

We’ve got some new character images for the eagerly anticipated sci-fi epic, Star Trek. The ones we’ve selected for you include Kirk, Scotty, Chekov, Pike, McCoy and Spock in the transporter room.

Although, this selection of images only portray a few of the actors representing the iconic characters, the stellar cast of Star Trek includes Leonard Nimoy, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Bruce Greenwood, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Zoe Saldana, Eric Bana, Winona Ryder and Ben Cross. It is of course written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, and directed by J.J. Abrams.

In recent weeks, it’s been nothing but great news for this movie as buzz surrounding the early premieres of Star Trek was all positive and yesterday we discussed reports showing that Star Trek’s pre-ticket sales are very strong, especially since it’s still two weeks away.

Anyway, check out the images and see what you think:

The characters look great even though it looks like Kirk is sporting some sleep-wear in the image with him in the captain’s chair. I think my favorite of the six has to go to Captain Pike looking serious in his dark uniform.

To see more images and download official Star Trek wallpapers for your desktop, check out the Dossiers Section of the Official Star Trek website. That section of the site also includes some cool background information on the characters.

What do you think of the images, characters and their uniforms?

Star Trek finally hits theaters next Friday, May 8th, with early screenings at 7:00pm on the 7th.

  1. I still think it’s amazing how great Quinto looks as Spock. I just keep thinking, “Sylar is SPOCK?” LOL.

2 weeks and counting!! WOO HOO!!

  2. All right. Fine! I’m excited. There! Ya happy, Abrams? Are ya? Now let’s roll this monster out.

This has been one of the most carefully executed promotional campaigns I’ve seen since… Well, since “Cloverfield”. Arams and company really know how to play the marketing game. Juicy tidbits doled out like clockwork. A new shot inserted into the tv spots, the release of toys that — when you push a button — say tantalizing things like, “Kirk to Enterprise: we’re falling without chutes! Beam us up!”

There’s only two weeks left and I only know the barest bones about the story, apart from what I read in the comic ook prequel. That’s amazing in 2009. Maybe I’m not digging hard enough, but I honestly want to get caught up in the movie opening night.

And I’m bringing my mother, who watched TOS every day after school in the sixties. She introduced me to “Star Trek”, took me to all the “original cast” movies, cried when Spock died. So it’s more than a little cool for me to be able to bring HER to a “Trek” movie for once.

  3. Damn sticky “b” key. “BOOK”, “comic BOOK”.

  4. I like all the uniforms, except for the pajamas. Pike looks cool, and like you wouldn’t want disobey any order he gives on his ship.

I have to say that Simon Pegg’s portrayal of Scotty is going to be one of the most changed characters from TOS. From all the clips and this still image I don’t see the old Scotty at all.

The closer it gets the more I’m looking forward to see the differences this new group of actors give us in each of those iconic characters. I’m one of those weirdos that likes change, and I’m beginning to really look forward to seeing those changes

Go ahead and call me a turn coat if you want! It’s probably true. Maybe the wait is getting to me! :)

    Can’t wait, can’t wait, can’t wait, CAN’T WAIT!!

  5. I like Simon but they better not make Scotty a bumbling comic relief guy. The Scotty stuck in the water pipes thing was poopey.

Scotty could be funny but next to Kirk he was the toughest SOB ever to sit in an Enterprise captain’s chair. I used to love when Scotty took command and punched out Klingons

  6. So. First off, I have always hated Star Trek. Always. I’ve given it many chances, watched different episodes of every series, watched most movies. Really can’t get into it. This one however, I am excitied about. Like haven’t been this excited for a movie in forever, aside from Wolverine (which was amazing). Zachary Quinto as Spock – Perfect casting. Despite never enjoying star trek, Spock was always cool. And the scene in the preview when Kirk introduces himself to McCoy as “Jim Kirk” blows my mind. The character’s all look great, but I’m not really comparing them too anything. Does anyone know if that ‘Enterprise’ show they put out actually falls into any timeline. I thought Enterprise was about the ships madian voyage, without kirk, and they didn’t have te ability to teleport people. But this movie seems like the enterprises madian voyage…but with kirk, and they can teleport people. Have they just forgotten about that show completly?, cause I don’t think it did well. or was that show the madian voyage and the ship comes back to earth later on then this movie happens. this isn’t overally important I’m just a little OCD when it comes to movie Timelines.
