I still think it’s amazing how great Quinto looks as Spock. I just keep thinking, “Sylar is SPOCK?” LOL.

2 weeks and counting!! WOO HOO!!

All right. Fine! I’m excited. There! Ya happy, Abrams? Are ya? Now let’s roll this monster out.

This has been one of the most carefully executed promotional campaigns I’ve seen since… Well, since “Cloverfield”. Arams and company really know how to play the marketing game. Juicy tidbits doled out like clockwork. A new shot inserted into the tv spots, the release of toys that — when you push a button — say tantalizing things like, “Kirk to Enterprise: we’re falling without chutes! Beam us up!”

There’s only two weeks left and I only know the barest bones about the story, apart from what I read in the comic ook prequel. That’s amazing in 2009. Maybe I’m not digging hard enough, but I honestly want to get caught up in the movie opening night.

And I’m bringing my mother, who watched TOS every day after school in the sixties. She introduced me to “Star Trek”, took me to all the “original cast” movies, cried when Spock died. So it’s more than a little cool for me to be able to bring HER to a “Trek” movie for once.

Damn sticky “b” key. “BOOK”, “comic BOOK”.

I like all the uniforms, except for the pajamas. Pike looks cool, and like you wouldn’t want disobey any order he gives on his ship.

I have to say that Simon Pegg’s portrayal of Scotty is going to be one of the most changed characters from TOS. From all the clips and this still image I don’t see the old Scotty at all.

The closer it gets the more I’m looking forward to see the differences this new group of actors give us in each of those iconic characters. I’m one of those weirdos that likes change, and I’m beginning to really look forward to seeing those changes

Go ahead and call me a turn coat if you want! It’s probably true. Maybe the wait is getting to me! :)

Can’t wait, can’t wait, can’t wait, CAN’T WAIT!!

Lord Garth, Formerly of Izar says:

I like Simon but they better not make Scotty a bumbling comic relief guy. The Scotty stuck in the water pipes thing was poopey.

Scotty could be funny but next to Kirk he was the toughest SOB ever to sit in an Enterprise captain’s chair. I used to love when Scotty took command and punched out Klingons

So. First off, I have always hated Star Trek. Always. I’ve given it many chances, watched different episodes of every series, watched most movies. Really can’t get into it. This one however, I am excitied about. Like haven’t been this excited for a movie in forever, aside from Wolverine (which was amazing). Zachary Quinto as Spock – Perfect casting. Despite never enjoying star trek, Spock was always cool. And the scene in the preview when Kirk introduces himself to McCoy as “Jim Kirk” blows my mind. The character’s all look great, but I’m not really comparing them too anything. Does anyone know if that ‘Enterprise’ show they put out actually falls into any timeline. I thought Enterprise was about the ships madian voyage, without kirk, and they didn’t have te ability to teleport people. But this movie seems like the enterprises madian voyage…but with kirk, and they can teleport people. Have they just forgotten about that show completly?, cause I don’t think it did well. or was that show the madian voyage and the ship comes back to earth later on then this movie happens. this isn’t overally important I’m just a little OCD when it comes to movie Timelines.
