Are you excited for Marvel Studios’ upcoming films? Are you having a tough time waiting three more years to see the most ultimate team-up film of all time in the form of the Avengers?
Well, here’s a little dosage of Avengers action to keep you calm while you wait. We have for you today a little fan-made trailer for the Avengers movie that features characters from a variety of blockbuster Marvel films, meaning it’s extremely off from what (and who) we’ll be seeing come 2012.

I guess it’s more of a Mighty Avengers movie than the Avengers. You probably noticed footage taken from a ton of different films including Transformers 1 & 2, X-Men, Spider-Man 2 & 3, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Day The Earth Stood Still, Iron Man and Fantastic Four 1 & 2 among others.
As for the content, it was well-organized for the most part and I like how the beginning hinted at a story revolving Hulk as the villain. This idea was widely speculated to be used for the real Avengers film but I hope it’s not. After The Incredible Hulk and seeing so much of that story focused on Ed Norton’s Banner learning control of himself, it wouldn’t make sense and would be a weak story to feature him as an uncontrollable villainous character. Let Norton join the team and have him work together with Iron Man, Cap and Thor on something better.
In the later parts of the trailer we see the focus shift to Spider-Man’s black costume and Venom which doesn’t fit and doesn’t work well with the Avengers idea, especially after Spidey 3. It partially took away from the story the trailer was attempting to tease earlier.
No reason to be overly critical though, I think this is pretty cool for what it is and the fun really kicks in when when the music picks up in the last quarter of the video. I always dig good fan-made vids of high and thought this was worthy of sharing, especially to get your thinking of what’s upcoming on Marvel’s plate.
What would of made this trailer blow my mind is if they incorporated clips from the 1990 Captain America film starring Matt Salinger in that amazing costume. Well, there’s always next time.
It’s too bad that none of the crossovers of this video can actually happen in the movie world as the characters’ film rights are scattered across several different studios including Sony, Fox and Marvel.

I know a lot of work went into that, but it wasn’t anything special, I’ve seen a lot of better fan made trailers. Too bad that’s the movie we’ll never see though.
I’d like to see a movie where…
Batman dies. Gotham City is now desperately in need of an other superhero to stop crime, which is out of control. The falling city attracts all sorts of bad guys (Doc Ock, Sabretooth, The Abomination, and others), lead by Venom. The only man who dares to save the city is a blind man, Matt Miurdock: Daredevil.
I also would like to see more of Thing (Michael Chiklis), just couldn’t quite fit him/it in this idea.
So you want a DC city to be saved by Marvel superheroes? Yeah, the fans will love that…

Agreed, from a technical standpoint it was really well made. However, it wasn’t really that cohesive and made me believe the author probably isn’t too familiar with the source material.
Doom3524, I agree. A Secret Wars film would be absolutely amazing, and an Infinity Gauntlet one would be even better.

It was good editing, but I’ve seen better avengers / marvel U team ups that were fan made trailers. I saw a really cool one a few weeks back where they actually spliced images together to make it seem like two characters were on the screen at the exact same moment. Had Wolverine behind a tree and Ironman walking toward him.
I thought the trailer was awesome.
Whenever I see fan-made trailers, I always find myself comparing them to that old Terminator Vs Robocop movie which was amazingly made. That Green Lantern trailer done a about a month or so ago was pretty good. This one… lets just say, technical ability aside, if this were a real trailer, I wouldn’t care much to see the film.
Needs the interrogation scene with Keanu Reeves and David Richmond-Peck from The Day The Earth Stood Still (Best part of film). Other than that – that was awsome!

a team-up-ish comic that consisted of Blade, Dr.Strange, Vengeance, Hanibal King,Ghost Riders:> Johnny BLaze,
Daniel Ketch, Morbius, Frank Drake, Caretaker, Werewolf by Night, Strange and the majority of the Night-Stalkers.
id wish the would bring half of these characters to fruition AT least, let alone any 1 would make a Midnight sons movie.

be advised to those of you who think an avengers movie will turn sour or just plain bad your all wrong! everyone is forgetting about thor & captain america, because without these characters any avengers movie will be a disappointment. if you put marvels core main superheroes like ironman captain america & especially thor the most important person in the group you will have a successful movie the fans will love,remember the three main superheroes are captain america,thor,ironman-there is no avengers movie without them. also marvel is making it so it’s damn good.
