Matt Keith says:

Yeah the trailer was awesome….I’ve heard people drop Nathan’s name down for the role many times and couldn’t really picture him as the Green Lantern….until now.

I’m not too sure about Fillian, but that was a phenomenal job putting that together!

J Jones says:

This is probably the best fan-made trailer I have ever seen. Nathan Fillion/Hugo Weaving were my choice for Hal Jordan/Sinestro from the start.

On another note, the Green Lantern pic at the beginning of this story is of Kyle Rainer not Hal Jordan. Kyle Rainer is a good GL, but the movie is going to be about Hal. Sorry to nerd out there.

Paul Young says:

@JJones – I have know idea how you could tell the difference. Enlighten me please. (No sarcasm intended I’m being serious)

Ray O says:

jaronpitts is an animal, that was really good.

JJ says:

Fillion is definitely the best choice.

1. He has experience as a leading man in action-heavy projects.

2. He’s good at comedy and pathos.

3. He’s a known commodity but not a big star, like RDJ pre-Iron Man.

Gary says:

That was very good.
We dont know that Kyle wont make at least an apperance in the film.
The script reportedly uses a LOT of characters from the GL mythos .

Ken X says:

That is a rediculous trailer! This guy should be doing stuff like this for a living! I agree that fillion seems to be a good fit!

J Jones says:

It is easiest to tell from his symbol, Kyle Rayner GL switched to that symbol in the latter part of the third Green Lantern series. Also, Hal Jordan’s hair is brown and parted, and Rayner’s hair is black and spiky/messy.

Also, if they are able to throw Kyle Rayner into the first GL movie, they will either have to cut out a lot of awesome Hal Jordan story lines or completely destroy Rayner’s creation story. So, it would be a poor choice I think.

Ken J says:

Very well made fan trailer, but I thought that “dramatic climax” part of the song kept dragging on, lol.

Hell, if the movie looks half as good i’ll go see it. But you know Hollywood – alchemy in reverse.

Phil says:

I certainly like the idea of Fillion being GL. Firefly rocked.

skippy2057 says:

Outstanding work on the trailer. Wow.

I have a minor man-crush on Nathan Fillion since Firefly/Serenity, and from the (admittedly little) I know about Green Lantern, I think he could bring the character to life.

Sharpe says:

Excellent trailer work.

I could see the Serenity captain doing Green Lantern or even some other DC, Marvel or other comic characters. But Brian Austin Green’s work on Sarah Connor Chronicles has me thinking he would be outstanding in most any bad-to-the-bone hero role.

Lencho says:

Glad you guys enjoyed and thanks for the shot out :)

I can only hope that the GL film will be this epic or at least a sequel to it will.

Uncolored Lantern says:

Does anyboby knowns what music is that. It was used in the Star Trek trailer.

He would be a good pick. I also like Patrick Wilson.

Lencho says:

@ Uncolored Lantern – The song’s called “Freedom Fighters” by Two Steps from Hell.

Uncolored Lantern says:

@Lencho

Oh, thank you very much, Lencho. I’ve been looking for it but I only find the other part of the trailer’s music, by Brian Tyler, and a different song by Two Steps from Hell. Excellent. : D

By the way, doesn’t it souns like the Batman’s theme with some touches of Da Vinci Code? ^^

Greetings.

Jes says:

What was that clip at the end from?

Lencho says:

@ Uncolored Lantern – No problem. I didn’t get any sense of Batman’s theme (any of the films or shows). I haven’t seen Da Vinci Code, so I can’t say.

@ Jes – Jaronpitts said it’s from White Noise 2.

Fillion’s seen the trailer and likes it…

Xigbar says:

Yep.
I just messed myself

Uncolored Lantern says:

By the way, I’ve already found all the information about the trailer in its YouTube page which includes a list of the films and music used in it.

Absolutely brilliant. I hope the Hollywood Version will be as faithful to the comic as this brilliant trailer.

SK-47 says:

Very well done trailer, but also what comes to mind is that the matrix clips work so well that maybe the Wachowskis could make an excellent Green Lantern film!
Not saying that martin campbell is bad, he is no joke. Beyond Borders is very underrated!
Just saying if the Wachowskis got their hands on GL, it would be something!
Yeah, Fillion is a great choice! Go Canada!

rail says:

wow; maybe if someone gives that fan access to clips from “Castle” and maybe a Frigidaire ad, he could like make the rest of the movie. Actaully, that was pretty great; Tapping Fillion for this flick would be a casting coup.

Daniel F says:

I liked it alot an I’m a big fan of Nathan, but Boreanaz is still my first choice.

Boreanaz is still my first choice he is a great actor and looks just like Hal in my opinion. GL, but Nathan is second and third I’m not sure maybe Brian Austin Green who I never would of thought of until more recently.

Kcat says:

Nathan Fillion would be brilliant as The Green Lantern. (He’d make an amazing Captain America, too.) He is built to play Superheroes, yet his acting range is so great that he can just as easily play the Everyman. He is young, strong, and beautiful. He is in the perfect age range to play a Superhero with depth, power, and gravitas. He is a man’s man and a genuine artist in his craft. All this, and he is a wonderfully awesome human being. Nathan Fillion is simply the best, better than all the rest, and he has my total support. Kcat

Psyko says:

Wow, I’ve ignored pretty much every bit of Green Lantern news to date. I’m glad I decided to check out this one though. I didn’t care at all, but I’ll be there opening night if Fillion has the role.

JD5DAD says:

Fillion would kick major a$$ inthat part and you know it would have great oneliners I always thought he should be Punisher thou
