Christmas day, or there abouts is when the worst movies are brought out. Everyone has seen everything else or haven’t been paying attention to news and advertising. Along come afternoon that day, many people will get bored and wonder what’s playing at the cineplex..
Well if it’s any good it’s been playing awhile. Which goes to show ya, do anything and everything before Christmas and avoid seeing movies. Then, if your one of those that just has to get out of the house on the holiday, or there abouts avoid the Christmas release. Because if you don’t do it this way, odds are, there won’t be anything worth seeing, you can bet on it.

The one caveat to this is perhaps the holiday centric movie. If it’s about the holiday its got a chance, but only a chance.. That’s all I got to say about that except, you have been warned! :)

I happen to think this movie looks highly entertaining, granted im not a fan of the source material but for sheer entertainment value this movie looks great.

Frank Miller, Film Noir, cliched, but so bad it might be a comical, guilty pleasure!! I’m flabbergasted!! I really don’t know what to say except I hope they are testing the waters and that the movie is not going to be one big tough guy cliche or fans of the source material are gonna “kill the producers all kinda dead”…oops..sorry about that…that that cliche was the worst..

Maybe releasing terrible footage first then this later was their plan all along. I freely admit that after the first few clips I saw I was put off by this movie because I’m not much of a softcore porn guy; however, in comparison, this trailer actually makes me want to see the movie.

If not for the cheesy tough-guy lines and femme fatale ( Kurt Russel / Army of Darkness fan )

Looks pretty cool to me, Love the stylish look. It’s a movie based on a graphic novel, I’m sure to people who have no idea what Watchmen is, that looks pretty campy and “cheesy” too.

@The Mantis

This looks as different from Watchmen as night and day. NO COMPARISON whatsoever.

The Watchmen trailer at least has generated tonnes of positive buzz whereas this is generating all kinds of Cheeze Whizzy groans and mockery…

Get me a tie….and it better be red…

Wow. Still looks like a turd. I’ll wait for a review (Vic!). Surprised at the PG - 13 rating tho. But the Spirit comics, IMO, were never “R” at all.

I remember when Miller could do no wrong. but now he turns out stuff like the Dark Knight sequel and All Star Batman and it makes you think what happened. Oh yeh and line like “I’m the godamn Batman” just make it worse.

At least now I may rent it. Before it was never going to be seen by me. PG-13? Eh.

Kinda reminds me of the Dick Tracy movie a while back. Very stylish…but not a great movie. I watched Dick Tracy and enjoyed it…there may be hope.

Looks like it takes place in a different town in Sin City Country (Screaming City?). It looks cheesey. It looks camp. It looks like silly fun. Although, if it’s not intending to be any of those things…FAIL!

“I am the octopus. I got bigger everything.”

Mhm. Compensating for something there..?

Maybe I’ll check it out for a laugh, however I’m quite certain that’s not what it had set out to be.
