Spider Man Andrew Garfield Emma Stone Peter Gwen Spider Man Set Photos: Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy Get Tender

A fan was able to capture some of the first images of Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy on the set of the upcoming Marc Webb directed Spider-Man reboot.

There has been a voracious appetite for news from and about this highly anticipated film: When Emma Stone was first cast as Gwen Stacy, everyone was buzzing about whether or not she would work as a blond and was she suited to the role. Pictures of  a blonde Stone on a red carpet quickly spread online to tide fans over until more official (or less official as the case may be) looks at the actress in character became available.

Of course, the photos we have today are not THE first images from the Spider-Man reboot to hit the web; several photographs of Gwen Stacy at a funeral became available last month. These latest photos depict a moment of teen-romance between Peter and Gwen, with the iconic setting of high school bleachers as the backdrop. Theoretically these are the bleachers at Midtown High in the world of the film, though they are likely shooting at a high school in Los Angels in reality.

Take a look at the images below and let us know what you think:

As production moves forward, we will likely see an increased amount of candid/fan based set images, as well as the official photographs that the studio will release. Each new interview, photo, and casting rumor reveals another potential plot twist or turn; and it may become difficult to remain surprised by the time of Spider-Man’s release.

Emma Stone revealed that she was contracted for several more films in a recent tonight show interview, indicating that her character will not die in this film. It’s an interesting balancing beam that e fans and marketing teams walk, creating both under and over exposure for a beloved and anticipated property.

Spider-Man is due out in July of 2012.
