Sweet… now THAT is what a villain should look like. Doc Ock and Green Goblin were okay, but I want to see a seriously nasty villain this time.

I’m thinking that seeing the non-toy version in photo-realistic CGI is going to be creepy as hell!

I think it looks cool but if that is really accurate depiction of what it is supposed to look than I’m not so hot on the idea that it still looks like he’s wearing a costume like that

this is one movie i dont care about as the other two where terrible I mean come toby mcguire is a terrible actor and he is more wooden than ben affleck its high time they cast someone else in this movie anyone one but him for godsake. And the costume is terrible they should have stuck to the one that was in the comics BUT NO they have to pander to morons and twats who know nothing of the comics yet again this movie will be nothing but overhyped rubbish i mean come on the sandman why him why not carnage or the hobgoblin Im sorry disagree with me all you like but these are three movies that never ever should have been made.

Well, after how much Green Goblin was butchered ill just be happy if venom looks that good. other than the suit markings thats pretty close to how he looked when he first appeared. i gotta say though having hobgoblin look like he did in the comic would definetly be alot more scary but im figuring its safe to say after how incredibly lame green goblin looked there most likely gonna have hobgoblin look the same just in a different colored suit.

This Venom seems to be a good product, but i think he’s too slim. I hope he will been stronger in the movie.

i think the first to films were fantastic. i mean to me its better then x men 3 and venom could lose the marks and beefing up nut other than that hes cool and the twat that said carnage should be the villain well how can he when hes made from the blood of venom who only appears later on in the film.

Gary, that’s interesting about Carnage. I haven’t followed Spidey in comics for a long time and I wasn’t aware of that.

Well people are complaining about the Goblin’s suit, and yeah it was horrible, but they did a great job with Dr. Ock. He looked more realistic then Goblin.

Well I have good news and bad news. The good news is, Venom won’t look exactly like that. He is more buffed up and you’ll barely be able to see the markings. The bad news is that Harry will not look like the Hob-Goblin in the comics and he’s riding a hovering snow board like thing. But who cares… He’s going to die anyway…

Okay, now I’m mad. I just looked at that toy and Venom’s suit look just like Spider-Man’s except for the fact that it’s black and the marking looks like a 3-year-old colored on it with permanant marker!! It’s a really good thing that you won’t be able to see the marking’s in the movie… But man, the Venom to is pathetic…

I’m just happy that Harry won’t look like a Power Ranger in this movie, although I agree that I don’t really like the snowboard-look of his glider.

Okay, I just had a bad thought… What if Venom doesn’t appear until the END of the film. I know Spidey and Venom are going to have a fight scene, but will it be long? How many fight’s with them will it be, and will they fight at all on the buildings? (You know like the fights Spidey and Doc Oc had it Spider-Man 2.) Tell me what you all think…

Vic said,

I think they’ll spend a lot of time building up to a final battle (or two). My guess is that most of the flick will be taken up with how he and the suit are feeding off of each others’ negative emotions.

Yeah, that’s true. But there’s something that’s still bugging me… What if Venom dies? They did say that this movie pretty much wraps up the story. That means, Peter and MJ get married, Harry dies, Aunt May dies, and amybe Peter and MJ have a baby, like in the comics. That would lead to Spider-Girl. I doubt they’d go that far…

I don’t know… pure speculation at this point.

I don’t want to find out *too* much about the movie before I see it!

Yeah Hobgoblin is an assassian not anyway related to the Green Goblin except stolen flyer, pumpkin bombs, and gay ass goblin name …..but yeah in a fight the Green Goblin would be a stain on the bottom of Hobgoblins boot, and then VeNoM would come in and totally wreck those MF ers….. but yeah

If that’s what venom is seriously going to look like…then I’m going to shoot myself…because that is too far off. He’s not wearing a costume. It’s an alien….that takes over his body, makes him 10 times stronger, and gives him spiderman’s powers. Not some whimpy looking villan with a triangle mouth…

I’ve been trying to stay away from too many plot-spoiling details, but I’m sure that it will come down to a final confrontation towards the end of the film. My understanding is also that Venom will evolve throughout the film, becoming more monstrous-looking towards the end.
