One aspect of the film that was universally loved by fans of the character was the assortment of Spider-Man suits put to screen, including the return of Tobey Maguire’s classic Spider-Man design and the iconic suit worn by Andrew Garfield in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Fans of the character on Reddit have been having their say regarding which suits they’d like to see the wall-crawler don in any future appearances in the MCU.

Scarlet Spider

Debuting in the infamous Clone Saga of Spider-Man comics in the 1990s, the Scarlet Spider costume has become a fan favorite Spider-Man look over the succeeding decades, appearing in various different Spider-Man-related media, such as video games and animated shows. The suit doesn’t stray too far from the established classical color scheme for the character, featuring a predominantly red under-suit with a sleeveless blue hoodie.

The influence of the costume can also be felt in the MCU in the homemade suit that Peter is seen wearing in Captain America: Civil War and wears again during the finale of Spider-Man: Homecoming, which is clearly inspired by the Scarlet Spider suit. The suit was frequently mentioned by Redditors as a costume that they would like to see in any future Spider-Man movies, such as Reddit u/velicinanijebitna who said “I remember liking that suit when I played PS1 Spider-Man game.”

Bombastic Bag-Man Suit

First appearing in the comic books after Peter’s initial separation from the symbiote suit, the Bombastic Bag-Man suit is simply a leftover Fantastic Four suit with a brown paper bag thrown overhead to conceal Peter’s identity. While the suit didn’t feature prominently at all during its first appearance, the comedic nature of the costume made it a favorite among fans, and it’s appeared in almost all the best Spider-Man games as an unlockable costume.

This costume was frequently cited among Redditors as a desirable costume for future MCU appearances of the character. Redditor YoungCapoon comments “One day we’ll get Bombastic Man,” and with the Fantastic Four set to debut in the MCU soon, this fantasy could soon become a reality.

Advanced Suit

Insomniac’s version of Spider-Man is already a favorite among fans of the character.  Debuting in 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man, the Advanced Suit is the primary suit worn by Peter over the course of the game.  The costume features elements of many different Spider-Man suits, particularly the live-action versions (such as the expressive eyes of Tom Holland’s suits and the elongated spider symbol seen on Andrew Garfield’s).

There were some criticisms among the Spider-Man purists that the suit featured too much white, and the overall tint was too orange instead of the traditional red. Despite these minor issues, the suit is still extremely popular with fans of the character, and many would like the suit to appear in live-action. Redditor bmoss124 remarked, “In the final film of the trilogy I’d like to see him get a version of the advanced suit from PS4.”

Negative Suit

The Negative Suit (or the Negative Zone Suit) was gained by Spider-Man during his visit to the Negative Zone in the comic books. The suit is basically a photo-negative version of Spider-Man’s classic costume.  With strong connections to Marvel’s first family the Fantastic Four, the negative suit is another popular choice among Redditors for suits that need to appear in the MCU. Tornado31619 thinks “The Negative suit from the game would be cool.”

With Marvel Studios branching out more and introducing a new set of heroes and villains from the cosmos and alternative dimensions (with movies like Eternals and Doctor Strange), a trip to the Negative Zone could be on the cards for Holland’s Spider-Man.

Spider-Armor MK 1

Having already made a cameo appearance in Spider-Man: Far From Home in a blink-and-miss-it moment (when Peter is creating his new suit), the Spider-Armor MK 1 suit is one of Spidey’s most iconic looks. The suit ditches the classic red and blue colors for monochromatic black and silver. It features an armored chest plate, along with a small spider logo at its center.

While the comic book origin of the suit has nothing to do with Tony Stark or Iron-Man, this is something that could be easily altered if the suit were to appear in the MCU and if the creators wanted to tie this suit back to the MCU’s original hero. Many Redditors, including vibinandsinging, really want to see the Spider-Armor suit appear: “Spider-armor, definitely!”

Future Foundation Suit

Another popular choice by Redditors for suits they wanted to see in future MCU movies, particularly because of its connection to the Fantastic Four, was the Future Foundation Suit. The suit is a drastic change for the character, featuring a white and black color scheme, while the face is almost entirely white, except the black eyes.

Many Redditors, like shadymostafa129034, want “future foundation if he someday joins the F4,” and this statement was echoed by many other fans who speculated how this suit could feature in the story of a future film (particularly with the Fantastic Four set to arrive soon).

Symbiote Suit

An obvious choice among fans of Spider-Man, the black symbiote suit is iconic and was the second most requested suit to appear among Redditors, with Gazmondo commenting how they would love to have a "faithful symbiote suit with a big white spider symbol." With the symbiote now present in the main MCU continuity, thanks to the ending of Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans are preparing themselves to see Tom Holland’s Spider-Man don the classic black and white suit.

Official concept art from Spider-Man: No Way Home has already given fans a taste of what the MCU’s black-suited Spider-Man might look like, and it’s definitely everything that fans want to see. A tweet from concept artist Thomas du Crest highlights what his take on the black suit would look like, and it features a large white spider covering the center of the suit (which is a major requirement).

No Way Home Ending Suit – Classic Design

Most surprising among Redditors was the desire to keep the classic suit featured in the ending of Spider-Man: No Way Home. While fans are yet to get an official look at the suit, there is a general consensus that the suit is a perfect interpretation of the classic red and blue comic book suit.

After the constant wardrobe change of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker in his three solo outings as the character, Redditors want to see Marvel Studios and Sony commit to the classic design for a while, similar to how Raimi’s Spider-Man kept his suit for all three movies of the series. Redditor _rathrar12_ highlights the feelings of the community best when he states “The most recent suit should stay for at least a couple movies. I’d also like to see him have to keep repairing his suit as the movie goes on and it’s just kind of quick patch jobs.”
