A promotional image has leaked online indicating a possible Spider-Man PS4 Pro bundle. Marvel's latest Spider-Man game comes from developer Insomniac Games and is being published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, thus making the game a Sony exclusive title - and it's one of the most anticipated games of the year.

Superhero games aren't as common nowadays as they once were, despite the fact that superhero movies tend to dominate the worldwide box office. And since Marvel has already established successful movie and TV divisions over the past decade, they are now taking charge of Marvel video games by launching a full-fledged Marvel Games division, of which their first triple-A release will be Insomniac Games' Spider-Man. There's a lot of hype surrounding the title, and it seems that Sony PlayStation is well aware of that fact.

A promotional image showing a stunning Spider-Man PS4 Pro bundle is currently making the rounds online (it was first spotted on Reddit). The image showcases a stylish red PS4 Pro that is emblazoned with Spider-Man's iconic logo. It also allegedly comes with a red and black DualShock 4 controller that'll match the console's color scheme. The advertisement doesn't show how much hard-disk drive space the PS4 Pro will offer, but all bundles so far have featured one terabyte of data.  This wouldn't be the first time that a high-profile bundle leaked before it was officially announced, as the recently released God of War bundle was spotted online before Sony announced it.

Of course, this limited edition Spider-Man PS4 Pro bundle should be taken with a grain of salt for now. It hasn't been officially announced by Sony and it could always be an elaborate fake. One small detail that makes it look like it could be fan-made is how the image says "PS4: Pro." There's typically no colon in the official PS4 Pro branding, but typos do happen. Gamers might remember the notorious Resident Evil: "Revelaitons" cover from a few years ago that got Capcom's upper echelon riled up. If this leak turns out to be true, then at least Sony has time to fix their mistake.

And even if this particular PS4 Pro variant winds up being a fake, it wouldn't be surprising if a bundle does happen at some point down the line. Insomniac's Spider-Man is poised to be Sony's biggest 2018 exclusive, and it'll be heavily pushed by the Japanese console maker. Many of Sony's upcoming first-party titles - such as the zombie-filled shooter Days Gone and the heavily anticipated The Last of Us Part II - are set for a 2019 release or later.

With Spider-Man's September release date rapidly approaching, Insomniac Games has been slowly revealing more about the upcoming action game. More information will be shown at Sony's E3 2018 press conference in June, but so far, the developer has shown off a reinvented villain in Shocker, discussed how Rocksteady Games' Batman: Arkham Asylum series has impacted development, and discussed how it could potentially be the start of an official Marvel Games universe. Considering both Marvel and Sony heavily invested in making sure Spider-Man's latest video game offering is a success, a Spider-Man PS4 Pro bundle is a near certainty.
