While the world prepares for the return of Marvel’s space misfits to the big screen in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the studio is starting the marketing game for their second release of the year: the highly anticipated Spider-Man: Homecoming.

After a deal reached between Sony and Marvel Studios, Spider-Man is finally joining the rest of the superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and after a successful introduction in Captain America: Civil War, his solo-movie arrives this summer. The new Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland, will be joined by some MCU veterans such as Jon Favreau (reprising his role as Happy Hogan, from the Iron Man trilogy) and the man who started it all: Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr).

While Stark is not exactly a main character in the story, he has a key role as a mentor to young Peter, and given his popularity among Marvel fans, it’s no surprise that he has been heavily featured in both trailers and will continue to be a focal point in merchandise. If there’s one toy line Marvel fans can always rely on when it comes to extremely detailed figures it’s Hot Toys, which has revealed a special 1/6th scale Iron Man figure with the armor he wears in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Iron Man’s armor – like the suits of his fellow Avengers – has changed in every movie he has been in, so it’s only natural that Homecoming will give us a new one: mark XLVII. Hot Toys’ figure is the closest (and best) look to date at this armor. The figure includes a base/stand, fully articulated head and arms, and a selection of interchangeable fists and repulser palms. In addition to that, it comes with 28 LED lights throughout the body, including the arc reactor.

Mark XLVII has a red, gold, and silver color scheme and just like its predecessor uses the F.R.I.D.A.Y O.S. It has the same weapons as Mark XLVI but stronger, such as repulsers, unibeam, missiles, sonic pulse, etc. The figure will be available in selected markets although they haven’t been announced yet. Hot Toys recommends those interested in purchasing it to “stay tuned [to] your local official Hot Toys distributor for details.”

While Homecoming is a Spider-Man standalone movie, it’s also his full-on inclusion to the MCU  – and who better than Tony Stark to lend a hand (after all, he brought him to Civil War). Stark is also the main connection between Peter and the already established universe, additionally serving as a hook to those still skeptic about the new Spidey.
