Shortly after his debut in Captain America: Civil War, Tom Holland made his way back to Pinewood Studios in Atlanta to start work on his upcoming solo film, Spider-Man: Homecoming. Pinewood Studios has become the home of almost every Marvel Cinematic Universe film over the course of the last couple of years, and that was no different for the Marvel/Sony collaboration. Even though the majority of filming took place within the studio, they did have to film at real life locations out of necessity, which provided fans plenty of opportunities to get a sneak peak at the set.
The first scene that audiences got to see Peter Parker took place in Queens, with Homecoming set to take place there for a majority of the time as well. As production moves into the final stages, the cast and crew have wrapped filming in Atlanta and now have their sights set on the actual hometown of Spider-Man.
Director Jon Watts, Holland, and co-star Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds) all shared on social media their respective departures of Atlanta. Prior to getting on the plane to head to New York, Watts shared a special Spider-Man cake that could have been present at a wrap party for the Atlanta crew. There are only a few more weeks left in principal photography, which means their trip to New York could be a short one. Here is a look at the presumed wrap party cake, along with pictures and videos of them leaving Atlanta, and arriving in New York.

With the paparazzi in New York and the likelihood of outdoor filming set to happen, fans could get many more chances to see what is being filmed. After all, the most recent set photos from Atlanta signaled Spider-Man saving a redhead that could be Mary Jane, so any filming in New York could reveal new details as well. Throughout filming, there has been no sign of Michael Keaton as Vulture or even the familiar face of Tony Stark. With production moving to the real life city, it is possible one or both could also make their way to the city.
While production moving from one place to the next is not too surprising, Holland's post in particular could be a hint towards his larger future in the MCU. If Homecoming has indeed wrapped production in Atlanta, then why would Holland say "See you soon Atlanta" if he was not returning? Well, it could be confirmation that Holland will be returning for Avengers: Infinity War and/or Untitled Avengers. These are the next films set to film in Atlanta for Marvel, with pre-production already well underway. This will not be a surprise to anyone if Spider-Man does show up, but with nobody as of yet stating whether or not he will, this should be pretty exciting news for fans.
