While a lot of attention is naturally on Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which opens in a couple of months, it's hard for fans not to get excited about Spider-Man: Homecoming. With a July release date, fans are eager to see more of Tom Holland's portrayal of the character after his scene-stealing debut in Captain America: Civil War last year. Though he won't be getting yet another origin story, it'll still be fascinating to watch the hero come to terms with his power and make his way in a world filled with Avengers.

The film may not be Marvel's next one, but the marketing has still been rolling along for Spidey's first solo adventure in the MCU. A lot of that has come in the form of toys, surprisingly, with a number of companies pumping out versions of the Wall Crawler and his frightening foe the Vulture. We've seen LEGO sets teasing some of the film's scenes, and got a big batch of Hasbro figures showing off the film's updated takes on the characters. One toy leak even gave us our only real look at the movie's version of the Shocker.

Now, venerable collectible figure company Hot Toys have unveiled their exquisitely detailed Spider-Man toy. It features Peter in his original homemade costume, giving us our best look yet at the suit. Check out the images of the new figure and all of its accessories below:

While it doesn't match the advanced version of the suit Tony Stark gives him, Peter's creation is still an impressive one. It's a far cry from the traditional version of Pete's homemade outfit, with lots of layers, details, and a number of technological elements. The most interesting part is the goggles, which have a mechanical element to them that later gets upgraded by Stark.

Also of note, the company's description of the figure reveals it's modeled off of what we see in the movie. We've previously seen this costume teased on a number of other toys, including a recent Funko POP! figure, but there was no guarantee we'd see it worn in the movie. It's likely that Pete will suit up in his old digs during a flashback, or perhaps a scene where his shiny new outfit gets damaged. Either way, fans will likely be anxious to get a good look at the homemade costume in action.

Meanwhile, Spider-Man: Homecoming has recently gone into reshoots. While this is standard procedure for blockbusters nowadays, it could be to add something teasing the future. We know Holland will be back for Avengers: Infinity War, so this could be something that sets up that event. It could also plausibly tease the recently announced Venom movie that's being fast-tracked for next year. That film looks to possibly exist outside of the MCU, so it's anyone's guess how connected it will be. Still, it's hard to imagine a Venom movie not spinning out of a Spider-Man one. We'll know soon enough, as we're just a few months from the release of Spider-Man: Homecoming.
