As Spider-Man: Far From Home soars into theaters, Sony's Spider-Man PS4 game is getting a colorful Marvel Cinematic Universe makeover. After releasing Spider-Man last year, Insomniac Games has made good on its promise to regularly deliver updates to the open-world superhero game.

Following the shocking events of Avengers: Endgame, the MCU is rounding off Phase 3 with Far From Home. Alongside the introduction of Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio, Nick Fury and Maria Hill are back in action as Peter Parker's new mentors. With Spider-Man now under the care of S.H.I.E.L.D., his arsenal is getting a little large thanks to a few wardrobe additions.

Confirmed by the PlayStation BlogSpider-Man is getting a free DLC to celebrate Far From Home's release. Insomniac Community Director James Stevenson wrote a cheerful post on what's coming next:

"While we’re busy working away here at Insomniac Games, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to once again team up with Sony Interactive Entertainment, Marvel, and Sony Pictures Entertainment to celebrate the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home in theatres now! As such, we have released a new update for the game via Patch 1.16 that will bring two free brand-new suits from Spider-Man: Far From Home to the game."

Stevenson explained how the Spider-Man: Far From Home Upgraded Suit and Spider-Man: Far From Home Stealth Suit are available now.

While the new suits aren't quite an action-packed Far From Home DLC that includes a new story, they only take 380MB to download and will make for some cool photos in gamers' scrapbooks. In particular, the Stealth Suit has been a talking point of Far From Home since it appeared in the movie's marketing campaign. Although it looks like a new invention, the Stealth Suit looks to take its influence from the Spider-Man Noir suit of the comics.

Players might remember how Insomniac added a pair of Fantastic Four-themed suits to the game in January. Spider-Man's "The City That Never Sleeps" DLCs expanded the main storyline after Peter Parker toppled the Sinister Six. The DLC continued the tale with villains like Black Cat, Hammerhead, and Silver Sable, while also hinting at what's to come in a possible sequel.

Fans are also used to swinging across the New York City skyline in Peter's homemade suit, his original suit, and the Iron Spider, meaning the Far From Home suits bring the grand total of MCU outfits up to five. It's unclear whether this is the last of the Far From Home updates, but either way, Sony and Insomniac are keen to cash in on the hype of Spider-Man: Far From.
