The Untitled Animated Spider-Man Film has now found both its Miles Morales and main villain voice actors. In just a few months, Spider-Man: Homecoming will land in theaters and mark Spider-Man's first solo outing in the MCU. Even more historic is the deal Marvel and Disney were able to strike with Sony in order to share the rights to the character. Despite the financial success of Sony's previous films featuring the web-slinger, the joint venture with Marvel looks to be a huge hit and will likely be the start of a strong relationship.

Of course, Sony is still exercising its rights to produce plenty of other Spidey content outside of Marvel - including, said Untitled Animated Spider-Man Film that focuses on Miles Morales. The upcoming animated film is being written by Phil Lord, who is co-producing along with his partner Chris Miller; the pair having previously worked on the animated TV show Clone High, as well as the animated Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and The LEGO Movie. We also now know who will be voicing both the hero and villain of the animated Spider-Man film.

THR is reporting that Shameik Moore has been cast as Miles in the upcoming animated Spider-Man film. Known for his roles in The Get Down and Dope, Moore will also be joined by Liev Schreiber as an undisclosed villain. Schreiber previously played Sabertooth in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, so he's no stranger to playing a rogue in a comic book movie.

While we await plot details on the new film, speculation will likely turn to what other characters will appear in the animated Spider-Man movie universe. There's a fair chance that Miles' best friend, Ganke Lee will appear in the film (Ganke's similarities to Homecoming's Ned Leeds aside). As for which Spider-Man villain Schreiber is voicing: Miles has a big comic book arc where he faces the Ultimate Green Goblin, but producer Amy Pascal has indicated that Sony isn't keen on rehashing Green Goblin just yet. Homecoming villains Vulture and Shocker are probably off the table too, as are other baddies featured in previous live-action Spider-Man films (see: Electro, Doc Ock). There are still plenty of other Spider-Man villains to choose form.

Homecoming's Tom Holland hopes to face Kraven in a future Spider-Man movie, but that villain is also a possibility for the animated Miles Morales film. Mile could also face his uncle, aka. Prowler in the Ultimate Marvel Comics Universe, who causes plenty of trouble for his nephew. The project already has Gravity Falls creator Alex Hirsch onboard as a story contributor, with Bob Persichetti (The Little Prince) and Peter Ramsey (Rise of the Guardians) co-directing, so we will hopefully learn more about the film's villain soon.
