solomon kane movie New Solomon Kane Clip Shows Off Hellish Monsters

It’s definitely going to be a slow day around here (Christmas Eve and all) but we do have a couple of new Solomon Kane videos to share with you (plus the trailer and other clips as well if you haven’t seen them already). Solomon Kane is looking to be a throwback to the 80s adventure/action films with plenty of blood, dirt and a gritty feel.

What we have that’s new is a video on the creation of the creatures in the film, plus a look at Kane and his man mounting an assault on a castle.

Check them out below:

.

While you can never really tell from clips and trailers whether the final film will actually be great, I’m looking forward to this one myself. Solomon Kane is scheduled to open sometime in January, but there’s not concrete date set as of today (Dec 24). I’d say they’d better get busy locking in a release date!

  1. the trailer makes it look like most action adventure films but seems too van helsing-esque.

    hope its like Conan

  2. Seriously… almost looks like a tag-along to Van Helsing… creatures look fun though

  3. Wow, that really does look like its shaping up to be awesome, it looks way, way better then Van Helsing.

  4. Solomon Kane’s character design was here a lot longer than that Van Helsing Movie. Stephen Sommers most likely borrowed from Robert E. Howard.

  5. I can’t wait to see this…

  6. !!! its like a mix of demon souls and dantes inferno. sweet!!

  7. this looks awesome

  8. At first I was disappointed that Kane’s history was altered, but the trailers look very appealing. I’m looking forward to an American distributor picking up the film. A troubled Bruce Wayne from the Middle Ages.

  9. This Movie looks really good, the style from the trailers reminds me a lot of the 80′s !

I love what I see so far and can’t wait to watch it,
there is just one big problem :

If the Movie is as good as it seems here,it will be a very big flop !!!! :(

The Director stated he would like to continue the story in a trilogy if possible ! And as much as I would love this Movie to be good and succeed I fear as so often with good Movies that the majority of viewers doesen’t share my taste :(

Anyway, will tell my friends to keep an eye open for that one,and lets pray against all odds !

  10. i can barely remember the comic coming out when i was a kid…it was one of my favorites at the time.
i had almost completely forgotten about this until the movie was mentioned.
my first thought was… bring it!

  11. This movie looks fantastic as well the actor portraying Solomen Kane but releasing at Christmas makes no sense, people want to see the movies with Holiday atmosphere, dramas , spy movies , love comedies, comedies in general.
