I just got into Smallville (I know, the last one on earth) but I know what they mean about pulling out with dignity. Can’t wait for the premiere!

WoW! Interesting for them to add Doomsday to the mix. Moreso, Darkseid and the Legion of Superheroes. I’ve been reading Supes comics from age six in the early 80s. This series, Smallville, is the best incarnation that television has presented yet. I have no complaints with the show, short of him not being able to fly as yet, although I’m over that. I must admit, that now I know that Lex isn’t returning, that kinda sucks, cause we all know that Lex is Clark’s greatest and best enemy. I absolutely loved the way Smallville brought us the story of how he became that way, basically because of his evil father. Awesome stuff. Anybody knows why he left?

hey why doesnt the cw do something that no show in history has done.., made a new series from an old one.. and change the title.. so start next year with season 1 of……METROPOLOIS!!! it could pick up where season 8 ends..or in the near future of it.. seems to me that theres a big enuff fan base to do it!! does anyone reading this have the power to pass it on to someone who can do something about it? i dunno.. i think its a great idea!! and as u can probably tell .. im a huge fan of smallville.. hey at least make a theatre movie or a 2 hour finale!!

See, this is what I wanted the show creators to address…
Point #1: Lois wasn’t supposed to hit Smallville at all, if one went with the mythos, right? This would have made it possible for her to have that disbelief that glasses-wearing noobie Kent was the caped, tights-wearin’ SuperDude; but, with things being as they are, she (and all of Smallville) will recognize Jonathan & Martha’s boy Clark when Superman comes on scene.

Point #2: Since Lex knows Superman’s identity, Superman will never be able to oppose Luthor’s plans, for fear of family/friends getting killed in reprisal. Additionally, should Lex so desire, he can use that same threat to make Clark his super-powered slave.

I’m still concerned that Lex knows Clark’s secret. If he truly is not returning, then everyone Clark knows, including his adopted mother, is toast. Lex is too evil to let a secret like that go unpunished.

What is meant by

We’ll see the Legion of Superheroes who are sent on a mission from Superman in the future.

does this mean future in the the season, or superman from the future 10 years from now?

Yea Gary, I’ve seen a multitude of reports and rumors saying the same thing, but in an interview with one of the executive producers, Darren Swimmer, he did say “no Michael Rosenbaum at all this season. [ Referring to this upcoming season ] I know that’s truly awful, but to make it up to you, they are introducing Samuel Witwer as Davis Bloome/Doomsday. ”

I think Mack is teasing us, unless it’s in a flashback sort of appearance. I scoured looking for any clue that Rosenbaum just might be showing up, but when an exec producer says something, ya gotta give him a little leeway in the matter… ah, don’t we?

BUT, I can’t find any info on any project that Michael is presently involved in, leaving it as a possibility / hope??

That we havent seen the last Of Michael Rosenbaum.
I hope she is right.
Because if this is the last season And there is no more Lex then I am done with the series.

The 8th season is going to put Clark back where he belongs – front and center.
The show has to line-up with the Superman mythos, that was the point of the show. The last couple of seasons didn’t do that.

The 7th season finale was definitely the weakest out of all the season finales. With all the build-up of Lex, his confrontation with Clark only lasted a few minutes. I’m thinking, ‘This is what they built 7 years up to?’. Lex went out on a negative note, but Clark has a better chance of going out on a positive note whether it’s the 8th season or a possible 9th season.
