Even though Smallville doesn’t return from its winter hiatus until the end of January, the CW has made sure that for the next few weeks, fans will not be able to stop talking about the famed superhero saga.

After releasing what will most certainly be the last ever seasonal promotional art for the concluding series via DC Comic’s blog, it quickly becomes apparent even the most hardened Smallville detractor will certainly have to take pause and acknowledge how completely wonderful this promotional masterpiece is.

Playing with theme of Clark’s (Tom Welling) obvious and impending destiny, fans of the series are presented with a completely celestial image in which the soon-to-been Man of Steel stands before his familiar Kryptonian crest, all while standing on an inverted image of the House of El. Laid within the reflected image of the aforementioned inverted “S” shield, The CW directly reveals what awesomeness fans of the series can expect to see in these final set of Smallville episodes.

You can take a look at the full-size poster below:

Despite the fact that this completely wonderful promotional poster references that Clark’s destiny is “now,” with eleven episodes left in this twenty-two episode final season, it’s hard to tell exactly when within those remaining episodes we will see that happen. Fortunately, the release of this wonderfully iconic image will certainly help tide over even the most restless Smallville fan until Clark’s final transformation into Superman is complete.

Of course, for those fans that just need to know what’s in store for Smallville’s winter return, you’ll be happy to hear that not only will Black Canary (Alaina Huffman) completely return in the January 28th episode “Collateral,” but the Doctor Fate wielding Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack) will as well after going missing following the season 10 premiere. On top of that, the Suicide Squad will be the episode’s main antagonist and Clark will, once again, lose his powers.

Smallville airs on Fridays @8pm, on The CW
