As Alexander Luthor (Lucas Grabeel) becomes the focus in this week’s episode, “Scion,” it’s going to take a battle to find out who decides the fate of this “special” Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) creation.

With Lois (Erica Durance), Clark (Tom Welling) and Tess (Cassidy Freeman) fighting for the side of good, Lionel (John Glover) appears to be outmatched. Of course, when it comes down to “family” (or obtaining absolute power), one can never underestimate the lengths that a Luthor will go to in order to come out on top.

Since the first introduction of the Lex Luthor clone, Alexander Luthor, in the Smallville season 10 premiere, fans have been wondering what secrets may be concealed within the human experiment. Following the revelation that needles cannot pierce his skin, Alexander Luthor’s destiny was all-but spelled out. Now we know that Alexander Luthor is Conner Kent – AKA Superboy!

  1. DSM, sorry to disagree, but Clark didnt becomeSuperman in season 8.
I agree with you that its not about the costume though.
    Its the whole Journey .
and its not quite finished yet.

    • Yes it was :)

  2. So… a month and a half hiatus at this point in the final season? Man…

    • I feel your pain… Haha. I wish they would’ve had the midseason finale after “Patriot”. Then they would’ve had 2 more episodes to put in this month and a half space…

But oh well. Atleast we know they haven’t forgotten about Darkseid ;)

    • Yeah Vic, they JUST came off a big holiday break too!! Soooo frustrating I swear man.

  3. has anyone noticed that on imdb on the last episode tom is credited as clark kent/superman?

  4. It was a great episode but I have one problem; the episode prior to this had Connor use krytonite bullets. Why didn’t the kryptonite affect him? I suppose it’s possible that his Kryptonian genes hadn’t asserted themselves yet but it was never answered in the show.

I think everyone here knows he will become Superman in the final episode. We just hope the CW has saved enough money to give us a truly epic finale.

    • I know just seeing IMDB say that made me realize it’s actually finally happening lol

      • Even though we know he will, it is good to see it in print. :-D

        • Lol exactly :D

    • Conner wasn’t affected because he didn’t have powers then. Tess mentioned his “metamorphosis”. He has dark hair now too.

  5. And also hope the 2-hour movie finale will be at least 100 mins. long,
88 mins. isn’t going to do justice at all for the smallville final,,,

    • I would also love to have the iconic music from Superman: The Movie play as they show a montage of past scenes of the show. I wonder if they will have a hour-long talk after the finale? I would stay up to see it.

  6. I would see that too if they did that, but i doubt they would, maybe they
will have it on the DVD set when it’s all said & done.
