It’s time get your priorities in order and make sure you’re free this Friday because it is finally time for Smallville to return. For real this time, I promise and this Friday we not only see all our favorite characters that we’ve been missing the past months, but there are also some returning favorites as Speedy is returning.

Although, it doesn’t look like Speedy will be getting that much screen time as she’s slated to be kidnapped by Oliver’s mentor, Archer or as he is known in his Smallville iteration, The Dark Archer.

Oh, and did I mention we have a brand new promo for the Geoff Johns scripted “Absolute Justice” event?

First, check out the description from Friday’s brand new episode below:

“Disciple”

NO LOVERS, NO ALLIES, NO DISCIPLES; INTRODUCING DC COMIC CHARACTER THE DARK ARCHER  Oliver’s (Justin Hartley) past comes back to haunt him in the form of The Dark Archer (guest star Steve Bacic), Oliver’s former teacher, who seeks revenge on his student by taking aim at Lois (Erica Durance) and Chloe (Allison Mack).  Oliver faces down The Dark Archer after his former mentor kidnaps Mia AKA Speedy (guest star Elise Gatien) but is pushed to his limit and Clark (Tom Welling) races to stop him from making another deadly mistake.

That just sounds awesome. I’m so excited about Smallville’s return. Still, the delay in the return did not come without problems. There has been a little switch-a-roo in the episode schedule. With “Absolute Justice” premiering next week and the delay in the return means that they had to push back the Alison Mack directed episode, “Warrior,” ’til February 12.

I think everyone will agree with me that pushing back one episode is perfectly fine so that we can watch “Absolute Justice” as it was regularly scheduled.

Speaking of “Absolute Justice”, here’s the latest trailer!

Next, check out a trailer of this week’s episode “Disciple”  as well as glimpses of what’s to come.

All I have to do is keeping saying to myself that it’s only two days away. It’s only two days away. Maybe if I try really hard I could sleep until then.

  1. This just looks amazing! I'm wondering how they will handle the whole Green Lantern issue, will he actually be seen?
Because someone is wearing the ring on the trailer. Maybe it's Clark. Or Ollie.

I love Smallville!!!! Season 10 here we come!!!! With a red and blue costume for SUperman of course, the black is kinda cool, but not right for the character.

  2. I can't bloody wait!! :D

  3. I havent seen or heard much about the Smallville JLA members this season other then the Green Arrow. Well Impulse, Canary, Cyborg, and Auqaman be in Absolute Justice…Are they being phased out in favor of Speedy, Stargirl and Hawkman? or will they all be in the movie and later eps?

  4. It will more then likely be a “hint” to the character as I think it is tied up with another studio with regards to rights etc. ?

  5. Possibly but does that mean the studio has control over all incarnations of the Green Lantern?

  6. Chloe says Dinah and Bart are 'underground in Saviour. I hope some of them turn up later in the season though, and I hate calling Bart “Impulse”. He's The Flash as far I'm concerned.
I was hoping they would start up the whole Green Arrow/Black Canary relationship, maybe next season eh?

  7. All DC Heroes are owned by Warner Bros. So GL should be able to appear in Smallville. If he was legally prohibited, you can bet any image of the ring emblem would be too.

Planet Hulk the animated feature, for instance, couldn't even use The Brood character from the Planet Hulk comic storyline, because The Brood is part of the X-Men universe which is owned by Fox. That's how crazy and detailed these legal things are.

  8. Thanks for clearing that up. I hope GL does appear on Smallville, but I think they might keep something like that for a slightly less crowded episode, it will be a small cameo if anything.

  9. It is very strange to me that while the budget (for cast and special effects) is TINY compared to where it was 3-4 years ago, the stories this season are SO MUCH BETTER than they used to be! Imagine if this season had the big budget Smallville used to get?! AWESOME.

  10. However it was mentioned Alan Scott could not appear. That is AS's ring. So who owns Alan Scott and why is he and Jay Garrick not appearing? (Rumor however probably pretty accurate since we have “seen” everyone else)

  11. dr.fate looks so heaps good, and he sounds even better, how long does it go for again ?

  12. Goosebumps don't even begin to describe the anticipation.

  13. Looks a lot better than the last trailer. Excited about it, but not nowhere near the level as the dude writing this article is. When is Lex coming back…..

  14. Well they did hint to a Green Arrow/Canary thing in Absolute Justice when Oliver told Chloe that their emails were platonic… But I read that they were gonna work on a Chloe/Olive relationship
